I want to start an ork army based around the Horus Heresy. A group of nine warbosses in Ghazzys WAAAGH! rebel against him cuz dey want moar dakka. I was thinking my main warboss would be Orkus, a mega armored warboss with an orkified mace where his shoota usually goes and his shoota on the back of his power klaw. I would use a MANz squad to represent the other Primorkz, but what legions fit in with what ork unit? I would use Sons of Orkus as my boyz, Alpha Legion Kommandos, and Night Lords Speed freeks. But where do the other legions fit in?

Meks would obviously be Iron Warriors. You could even convert an IW Basilisk as a looted Wagon or BW.

I can totally and positively affirm that I absolutely love your idea and I can't wait to see the Primorks and Da leegionz. Also, Orkus is a pretty badass name!
The only thing I'd suggest is to make thePrimorks as Nobs instead of Meganobs because Nobs are much more customisable.

Nah they'd be the Wierd boyz, with lots of madboyz as their main troops.

Night lords and Alpha Legion would both make good candidates for Blood Axe style units like Kommandos, storm boyz, and shoota boyz.

Deffskulz would probably fit in well with iron warriors since they love technology (by looting it obviously)

Goffs would probably fit in well with whichever legion it is that Kharne is from (world eaters right?)

Only question I'd have is where doks, bad moonz, and Evil Sunz (speed freaks) would be. They don't seem to match up easily with a traitor legion subtype.

Docs and freebooters(?) could go the Emp Childrens route. Docs as Fabius etc and freebooters as noice marines.

So, if Nurgle-y peeps are green....and Orks are green....

Doesn't that mean Orks are already under Nurgle?

Fun idea: paint their skin different colors for the different Legions in crude paint. Red-painted Orks for the World Eaters, Blue for Thousands Sons, etc.

Emperor's Children being represented by Flash Gitz
Any elite guard in terminator armour (Justaerin, Death Shroud, etc.) by MANs
Imperial Fists/Iron Warriors being represented by tankbustas
Alpha Legion being represented by kommandos
Blood Angels/Nightlords/Raven Guard being represented by stormboyz
Horus by Ghazkull/any warboss with a powerclaw
White Scars by Trukk boyz/bikers

The Death Gaurd could be Biker Boyz... With all the Smoke that gives them a cover save... could be nurglesk.

Bad moon could also be Iron Warriors they are the richest orks!

This is so great. I hope this goes far.

The Deff Guard would have to be made up on entirely of Killa Kans and Deff Dreads.

- Slow and implacable, like the Death Guard.
- Kans and Deffs are big bloated monstrosities, like the Deathguard.
- Move and shoot, move and shoot, like the Death Guard.
- So on and so forth.

The Orkish version of the Emperors Children would have to be made up of lots of Flashgits with the Noise Marines being Goff Rokkers.
