Cheers, I find the whole layout a bit confusing though. Can you clarify why the forum is set up, this is what I would call a sale rather than a trade? maybe an online auction sub-forum is needed. The whole "(have) item (want) cash " thing is daft when it is an auction. It is obvious that you would want cash rather than, say, 500 ice cream waffle cones.

It is set-up that way to automatically apply the mandatory title formats because, basically, the Mod team were sick of having to manually edit titles all the time. The Swap Shop has a title format to make it clear for users browsing threads. It is generic becuase, generally speaking, most people trade rather than sell. The concession for auction sales is the box you tick to mark it as an Ebay option. What you might want in return in the Want column is perhaps not necessarily cash but maybe you have certain payment requirements, eg Paypal that you want to flag up. The red text is simply a way of demarking me talking with my Mod hat on rather than a normal user.

Cheers for the full explanation, after that I can see as a Mod it would be very frustrating to have to edit reams of thread titles.
