Yeah, thats the trailer i just saw earlier at the theater... I seriously want to go see this, and I've never been the biggest godzilla fan out there. I do find it odd/funny that theres a chart floating around the internet describing the size of Godzilla, and how with each movie iteration, he gets larger and larger... Though if the information in the trailer is indeed correct, then all of the previous Godzilla movies are literally the same monster as in this movie (and if he just keeps growing, etc)
Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios
The 2 trailers were basically the same except for the very end.
Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines
Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
For the record, the new monster(s) is/are called Muto(s). This is an artist's drawing of the creature from an exclusive sneak peak that was shown to a small group of people. If you pause at 2:20 and 2:22 you can see its head. Also, the big claw at 2:16 appears to be it as well.

And to me they look like the bugs from Starship Troopers
That's the first thing I thought of when I saw it. I honestly love the look of it.
I'm not saying that it's a bad thing just it reminds me of stuff.
Oh, no, I agree looking at it that there is a resemblance. It just strikes me as more Starship Troopers than Cloverfield. For the record, I love Cloverfield.
It's that "hook" on the limb. It looks exactly like the main jaws on the Warrior bug.
It's growing on me. Not quite a classic Godzilla monster, but it looks like something that will look good while he's smashing it.

Defintely liking the look of this one. Last Godzilla movie (90s one?) was crap, and I hated Cloverfield (home video/shakycam, urgh), but this looks like a monster disaster movie I could watch!*
*Loved Pacific Rim as well, but that was giant mecha vs monster, a bit different from the Godzilla monster movies.

That wasn't even close to being the last Godzilla film, there's been about 8 between the US one and this one.

True, but those were all Toho/Japanese-made. This is the first Godzilla movie to be made by the USA since 1998 with Matthew Broderick hunting down a giant iguana.
That was Toho/Japan as well. It was brought to theaters for American audiences but flopped because most people here in the States don't understand kaiju cinema.
It was also very edited and the dubbing was pretty terrible.

I'm a huge Godzilla fan and I can't wait for this. It looks like they're doing this right. I checked out the actors and most of them are not household names but are fantastic actors.
Also, check out my history blog: Minimum Wage Historian, a fun place to check out history that often falls between the couch cushions.
Tied to a bedpost in an old motel, confused and naked.
How did king kong not kill him? I've always thought Godzilla to be weak. Having no use of your arms is a HUGE disadvantage.
All God-zilla has is his mouth, mouth lazers, maybe his tail.
