Thanks aku-chan. Still figuring out next steps on her, but maybe get a bit more soon.

Mostly been doing more small stuff:

A little monkey to play with muscles:

A little more progress on the lizardmen:

Another attempt at the light source style painting from the class a few months back:

And some 6mm russ for epic:armageddon and raven gaurd missiles for LI:

Mostly need bases for the tanks, and detail cleanup for the marines. Hopefully today.

Took til friday, but tanks did get done:

As did the lizards:

And the raven guard at least to good enough:

Picked up my models for the challenge Saturday, and about ready to base: 12 more savannah masters, in kestrel grenadiers colors this time, because that was fun last time.

And started colors on some old 6mm IG bombards, and the rabbit and owl from last time:

Gonna see how far the wave goes.

Love to see these old epic models getting love, and cool to see some of the other stuff that you're doing. Heavy metal ain't dead!

Thanks PaddyMick, do love the heft of a good metal. Sadly not much progress on them this week.

Did get the savannah masters done:

But not much else. Likewise, paint night was pretty focused. Made solid progress on the back half of my basti pole weapons unit:
(Boob spoiler)
Spoiler:

Was thinking they just needed basing, but thinking the blue needs more brightness and maybe going back bronze instead of bright gold for the gear. Either way just gotta do it again close enough before november to put that project back into resting.

And started another light playaround model. Dunno if this one will get any further than the others, but we'll see:

Been a bit slow recently, we'll see if I get back on track.

Well, still kinda off, but progress being made.

Got the back half of the basti done:
Spoiler:

And the front half started:
Spoiler:

And then paint night wise, got that owl ready to base:

(And started a corgi)

Plus actually did loop back for the lizard:

Needs the base done, and need to figure out how to blend that better, but still feeling good there. Hopefully more during the week.

Love the lizard, very colourful. Are these for Burrows ad Badgers? I just got the rulebook

PaddyMick: I wouldn't be opposed to using them that way, but mostly they're because I found them cool looking.

Owl fully done:

Basti have some decent progress, though not sure the halves will match:
Spoiler:

And started a reaper lion and some mechs at paint night:

Need to figure out my spooky for the month, and almost time for another basing frenzy...

Made in us
Utilizing Careful Highlighting

Got the mechs done:

And the Bsati:

Also started a couple cou ts as yeomen for trench crusade:

Which are now started to be painted:

Also a bit more progress on my wargods of olympos warband:

And the bad decision to pick up and paint to completion an urbanmech lance in a tractor theme:

Still not sure on what the spooky mini for the month will be.

Made in us

Some possible spooky minis in a pair of pirate mechs and some rifleman werewolves, plus a random d&d mini started:

And some base colors tests on a one page rules sf lizards army:

Slow week, will see if anything more pops this one.

Utilizing Careful Highlighting

Still slow and bleah, but some work got done.

Skelemechs finished:

Sadly, forgot the proof pics, so have to use something else for the challenge.
Like these werewolvrs:

Also tried some more speedpainting, but took a little too much at once.

Company was a little too high an ask. Hopefully this week.

Nope, not this week. Did get the camo mechs almost done:

(And also showed the importance of writing down schemes, as the rifleman and ostscout are supposed to be the same company...)

Did a small hunchback conversion:

And made use of a day off for a longer than normal paint night, featuring some quar I assembled this week I'd been meaning to get to:

Got some good progress on the capellan camo mechs:

And the quar pretty much just need basing:

We'll see where we get.

Capellans did get done, but not finish photos:

Likewise, quar ready for the front:

Also got to Fall In, did a class on making tentacles (front center is mine):

Also got an old secondhand widowmaker I'd previously bought painted up at paint and take:

And picked up some more war gods:

Plus some dinos I then painted up at paint night:

Also at paint night, got the crucis lancers about ready to base:

Not sure whats getting done next, feeling very quar but also war gods, we'll see.

Thanks Private Benjamin!

They look like this:

Also finished the dinos, at least two of them:

Also started more mechs at paint night:

Worked more on the hyperborea:

And painted up an old metal dark eldar:

(Also assembled a next level minis dragon, but he needs some heavy gapfilling:
)

Hoping to also circle back around to quar...

Actually, left the tentacle with the guy and no further have popped up, though the method was interesting!

Bit late on this one. Did get the mechs done:

And the dark eldar:

Thinking about using it as the challenge entry, but I do prefer avoiding GW for that--probably end up retaking better pictures of the capellan mechs.

Paint night:
Got these cyberpunk guys I ordered just needing basing:

Did up an automata bull for probably war gods, likewise a 3d print:

And just need basing on this gold dragon:

Tempted to do a nice base on that and enter it for the challenge, but the dragon itself feels a bit too speed painted, and the wind snapped off going to paint night, so some seams opened up and its a little rougher than I'd like for the challenge. Seen what this week brings.

Wow, Vejut. Plenty of good stuff happening in here as usual.

The fur and flesh on the purple monkey is superb work - one of your best IMO.

Loving the retro colouring on that old DE dark lancer as well - acknowledging my bias around old metal eldar!

Hopefully see the base for your dragon in the monthly painting challenge...! The horns/chest plating have a nice texture on him.

Thanks for sharing!

The checkering on the cyberpunk bases is amazing!

It's funny, without the base I thought the gold dragon was too bright and glaring and in need of a wash or something to tone it down, but with the base it's a great balance of earthy tones/colors and the dragon. Me likee.

Thanks aku-chan!

Thanks meer_cat, I feel the bases are a little loud, and fairly messy, but glad they came out. Likewise the dragon--they've got at least one wash on them, and the color balance was a bit an accident, but ended up well at least.

Kinda slow week, been a bit off, missed last week entirely. Got the yeti ready for basing last paint night, but kinda stuck on what I want basing wise--feel like they'll get lost in a snow base, unsure on dirt bases:

And this week, mostly tried some basic things to shake some bleahs, so a lance and a half of mechs, lyran guard colors:

(Still need the white cleaned up and both edged, plus detailing...)

And a couple 3d printed animal adventurers:

(Plus some minor progress on mycenaeans)

We'll see if that helps.

Wow man, how many projects are you working on at at time?

Usually it kinda load sheds down to three or four. More on paint night where I'm waiting for things to dry with less distractions than my computer desk. (Also, sometimes a home project is showing more skin or is a big too big for taking to paint night.)

Still not sure what I'm doing to base them. In the mean time, some (off)white on the mechs:
