My 8 year-old son wanted a Valentines day box for school that looked like a tank. This is what I came up with in 2 hours with some duct tape and some cereal boxes.

nice. is that a box for cards I assume? that seems like a very american custom. I dont think thats really done over here. to be fair they'd probably have to introduce a rule that everyone sent everyone else a card.

That was the rule back when I was in grade school. Back in the seventies. I doubt it's changed since then.

It was definitely a thing here when I was a kid as well, you brought them in, usually enough for the whole class.

We don't have a box custom in the UK but apparently we send more Valentine's cards to each other than any other nation.
My wife banned me from it this year, to "save money."
Who said romance is dead?

Ironically enough this year I brought my wife the choo choo choose me card from that Simpson episode where Lisa gives it to Ralph when he doesn't get any.
