Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to Dakka Dakka, so bear with me.

Right now I'm working on conversions for my Winter Ork army. I'll try to keep this thread as fresh as I can with the progress I make on the army. I just finished building all (4) of my Battlewagon Ice Cream Trucks, and I've pieced together a scratch built Big Mek w/KFF. Soon I'll post some of my Lootas, I'm just waiting on a few PuppetsWar heads to come in the mail. Lots more planned after that including snowmobile bikes and a custom Ghaz. I'm also hoping to show you guys the paint scheme once I get a few more boys painted, they're blue skinned! Anyways here's your first taste.

Oh, and by the way, I'm a part of a new tabletop gaming studio called Every Bit Countz, check out the links in my signature for more cool stuff!

Hey Guys, here's an update on how the army is going.

Right now I've got a few shoota boys being painted, they're looking awesome with their blue skin. ...and... I just finished my Ghaz proxy, HodgePodge Thraka. His body is a Skaven Ogre, and for the most part, the rest of him is made up of the AOBR Warboss and other orky bits. I like to think of him as Ghaz's long lost cousin. His thick skin negates the use of Mega Armour, so he scrapped it. Anyways, more to come so stay tuned. Hopefully my next post will be something painted, probably some of the shoota boys. Later!

Your Gaz is looking well cool, looking forward to seeing him with some paint on. The same goes for the Big Mek!

Is it possible to get a shot of the Ice Cream Battlewagon with a boy or something next to it for scale?

This looks like it´s going to be some fun!

Thanks! I'm actually going to put the Grots with Ice Cream Truck Battlewagons, since they're the comic relief of the Ork army. I'll be painting one of the Battlewagons up real soon, so then you'll get to see the scale of them with the little Gretchins inside and I'll put a couple boys beside it. The regular boys will be a bit more serious, they're skin is blue from the frost bitten tundra, and they'll be walking on ice! Stay tuned.

Hey Guys, here's another update for my Winter Ork army.

I finally painted up a few of my shoota boyz, they're blue! I'm going to paint a few more and then I think I'm going to start painting one of my Ice Cream Truck Battlewagons, that should be a ton of fun. Anyways, let me know what you think about the paint scheme!

Yes! I love this, the blue orks (imo) are the best

When I first started 40k orks, I was toying with the idea... but decided against it, now I'm not sure I made the right choice, because those look awsome!

Thanks much everyone! I've been pretty busy outside the hobby lately so I unfortunately don't have anything new to show yet. Hopefully some kitbashed lootas and a painted battlewagon will be posted soon though. Later!

cheers for the compliment I really doubt yours will look worse than mine. Judging by the other stuff here they can't be bad! Post 'em!

So I finally got around to taking pics of my Lootas. You can see that the two unprimed ones have PuppetsWar heads. The rest of the PuppetsWar heads that I ordered are mixed in with the rest of my army. Also, I started painting one of my Battlewagons and I'm halfway done building my first Snowmobile Nob Biker, it's looking pretty sweet in my opinion. Anyways, here's a few of the Lootas I've made. I was lucky enough to get some Loota "cages" from my fellow ork players, those along with AOBR bodies, and other random bits from other armies. I was able to muster quite a few of these bad mamajammaz.

Hi guys,
I know I promised a painted Battlewagon next, but I have to get some snow flocking to finish it. So instead... Snowmobile Nob Bikers! They're kitbashed AOBR Deffkoptas and AOBR Nobs with a Kromlech PK and some plasticard. I think the Waaaagh banner is from Warhammer Fantasy. I'll be running 8 snowmobiles when I'm done building all of them. One of them will be a Warboss, and another a Painboy. They should be awesome! Check back soon for the first Battlewagon, it's strawberry ice cream!

I like what you're doing here, I almost always like theme armies. When I saw the ice cream truck, I thought about suggesting using those pedal cart/bicycle things that vendors use to sell ice cream in parks as wartrakks or bikers, y'know with a grot or something holding the gun out of the freezer compartment, but you made snowmobiles, which is probably better anyway.
