@ Bebop
GW is a lost cause... =/ It seems useless to appeal to their common sense after all those years of consistent demolition of their 40k brand... I just hope to be among the first to pick up the banner and carry on for all the tau-style loving fans out there as many third party companies do for SM and Ork-herders for some time now. I'm trying to make all these bits as much compatible with original as possible. In both style and shape. The heads i.e. are designed to fit Tau, IG and even SM scouts or eldar with their neck-joint shape and jaw-mouth features.

@ LDD
New shoulder is actually smaller and lighter than the original and is based heavily on old transformers design

@ Theo
*NOT. ENOUGH. DATA.* We'll have to wait till this guy appears in season 2 to figure how he looks in the latest redesign =)

Ronin, I would so use him as a Sensai from old fluff, the gray wanderers who are the offspring of the Emperor from days long past.

Thank you all for the kind words friends!

I have some pics and news to share:

- I've almost done the closed version of the Synapse helmet. What do you think of it?

- Also I did the third re-work on the Aztec torso and I'm finally satisfied with the result and going to attach it to the legs. Doing the new head version from scratch too... Damn my perfectionism! =) But I really want this guy to be the best of what I can do... The only way to progress IMO

- I told numerous times about how I want to some day make my own scratch-build... I had lots of ideas but none of them shaped to the needed point in my head until now... I started work on my very first vehicle and if it'll be a success we'll release it in resin. With this project I want to get back to the roots. Both of my hobby - the greenskins and their fantasy origin, which I think is completely neglected by all existing manufactures.

I'm not going to say how exactly this thing going to look like yet but here is a breakdown of some desired features:

- a small one-pilot vehicle (medium walker / fast attack craft -sized)
- fantasy-inspired design
- removable roof on magnets
- detailed interior
- 2 pilot versions (goblin and ork)
- many interchangeable weapon options (on magnets)
- some exterior derorative options

Plus, I did my first plasticard riveting ever... yay!

Here is a "teaser" pic:

Cya all and leave your comments!

hey storag!
good to see you!

now to business^^
the helmet looks ace... i love the futurist scheme of the connecting plates... where i am a bit unsure is the plug shaped nose... that looks a bit weird still...i would have gone probably for slits, horizontal around four or five...the side venty tho look very good!

as for the orky idea...i am more than eager to see more... the teaser just did what i told on the package...teased me
looks like you have yourself a wholepunch? the flowery middlesection looks very much up my alley! there is much good looking detail already... my english is way too hampered to describe what i like atm and what i see... i also bet that we currently see this bit not the right way up?... will that flowery bit be the window?...hopefully you soon add more of this build... i have a very special place in my heart for walkers...and this looks already as if it is destinied to look a bit steampunky too

@ Vik
You got it all right my friend! A window it'll be. In case of greenies it's more junk / scrap -punk =)

I got myself a cheap one. It has an interesing effect - the resulting circles are not flat but bended like this

Is it normal for such punchers or I just got lucky? =)

Depends on the thickness of the pc. Sometimes the little smal discs can be a bit round... But usually they come out straight...hmmm...

That helmeted head looks ace . Also can't wait o see what you do with greenskins. The riveting is really great as well, interested in seeing what you do with it.

Once again another interesting update full of fun and excitement

Now I do kind of agree with Vik ( strange I know ) the nose section does seem a little pronounced not in a major way though, maybe take the section with 2 indents out and as Vik mentioned add slits but thats just MO.

Overall the rest looks great love the shape and flow of the design, fits the mix of Tua and Human technology

The Ork idea has got me very interested now to see your approach and vision, along with the sneak e peak I have to say some fine PC work

My hole punch does not have that effect plain old flat rivets

We made a poll to determine the winner and it's a tough fight I tell you! Don - 48.9% Ronin - 51.1% The balance is shifting a bit constantly... Seems they'll make a great toon adversaries locked in eternal struggle

Rolling updates, you know...

The turle FINAL version is now on sale at our city (we're ordering nice cardboard boxes to keep post orders safe, so others have to wait a tad longer)

Pics of Synapse casts:

hands

torso + stealth module

A bit of a downside news - the current price of those bits from our manufacturer is ridiculously high We're promptly searching for options to make sure the final pricing for the sets stays tolerable, at least.

Cya!

Looks even better as a complete miniature, cant wait to see it with a set of legs.

Have you considered any other options as to weapons ? I would love to see your take on a Tau Tech inspired shotgun

Also have you considered vehicles maybe not right now but for the future, I think a some kind of bike/jet-bike would be great.

I was thinking about some APC in Alien colonial marines style. And some personal drop pods. Bikes are cool but I don't really have a clear picture for 'em.
