Nice paint job has that galactic Navy feel to him, the blue great coat has a Napoleonic vibe as well great looking miniature.

He turned out quite good.

Fantastic work, Peter, as usual! I especially like how the paintjob manages to blend in the new lapels and makes them look like they had been like that from the beginning!

Oh, on a mostly unrelated note, I would still love to hear your feedback on the beer cask I added to my Drill Abbot, btw

Brilliant, subdued and subtle but still commanding impressive. The books up for free download on the Baen website lots of good stuff there. http://www.wattpad.com/486908-genie-out-of-the-bottle-by-eric-flint-%26-dave-freer has theprequel without Falstaff but still with Ariel. I can't recommend the series highly enough actually it's imaginative satire at its finest.

Commander Cain - If it makes you feel any better I am kicking myself over the "smoothness" of the lapels.

LDD - The drawing has a great naval vibe to it so really should have gone with blue to begin with.

IPS - Aye. Happy with him and I think/hope Molotov was too.

KS - The blending of old and new is the most important part of the conversion. Will head over to your blog after this. You know what I thought I had left a comment....not that unrelated since we are definitely in the same ball park.

GiraffeX - For the last few years I have been very happy how they turn out. I generally have to paint them during the day when I am not tired. Of all the mini's I have done these two scavvies are my favourite faces:

Highlight - add more Necron Abyss
Highlight - add a little Mordian Blue
Highlight - add a little more Mordian Blue
Wash with thinned "The new Blue Wash whatever it is called"

Llamahead - will check out that book when I have a minute. Working my way through the Honourable Schoolboy sequel to Tinker Taylor Solider Spy, and it is really tough going not really enjoying it but want to find out what happens at the end....perhaps I should just read the last chapter.

HF Izanagi - I built him as a gift for Molotov for arranging last years Inqvitational - The Helios Succession. Falstaff is an NPC who will make an appearance at this years Inqvitational - The Sins of The Master. As for a retinue.. not specifically but he might get a couple of chaps if required.

Well, what can I say... Yet another stunner, Peter! I'm pretty sure that the coat looks especially wondrous in life. I like the way it gleams like real leather. Ah and the haircut, very well done mate! He looks badass even though he's not wielding any weapons - but I'm guessing he could kill anybody in a blink of an eye with the staff alone

Today I have avoided the internet and other distractions and built Inquisitor Trask. He is pretty much done, just needs a couple of wires coming out of his head.

That's... that's... just everything you construct looks like that's the way the model was made in the first place. I'm sorry if that's not a very coherent explanation, but I'm sazzled by awesome.

That's a characterful guy really like the gun where's it from?

Karokk - This was an awkward base model. It has a really thin waist and looks odd. I bought it a while back and just thought it was going to fester in my bits box. Seeing your Inquisitor, made from the other warrior priest, really inspired me to look at this figure again. All the stuff round his middle is just to bulk him out. The head is from the Catachan Heavy Weapons team with the bandanna shaved down. He is an NPC for the Inqvitational 2013...though I have become quite attached to him this afternoon so I hope he lives.

Llamahead - The gun is from the Chapter Serf from the 40k Starter boxset - Ultramarines vs Nids. This guy needed a brutal looking gun and I think this works.

I would really love FW or GW to release a human sized gun sprue of various gun patterns....would be such a boon.

The new inquisitor is looking good, the catachan heavy weapons team is a good source of bits, much nicer than the catachan infantry. That head is great.
