I see Orkyness with this one also it has the potential to add a Flak gun to it as a removable piece if you wanted, I thought they might be cassettes now I need to rummage in the loft for my old tapes.

Hey Vic you could try going to your local refuse recycling centre and see if they have any old vid tapes knocking around there is always hundreds at ours all though you might have to sneak them into a box or something as around here they won't let you remove stuff.

hey mates, first anybody seen the game yesterday? I didn´t knew you could table someone in soccer... 7:1...that probably was the U18 team of Brasil...right? but they still had Hulk... so I guess it was their right team...... now I am eager to see who wins to fight Germany then... Netherlands or Argentina...a toughy either way...

also... before I unleash a major update... Q&A time^^
Spoiler:
shasolenzabi wrote:Now that is a cool halftrack idea Vik, also allows for canvas for wet weather!

I was thinking the M-3 Half-Track

I will keep that design for future projects... there is especially on the front so many odd angles that this needs some further know how on my part...

ha! you will get unexpected right now... that is for sure^^...

that death roller has me inspired ...see below mate... tho orks wouldn´t want to be hanging dead over a fence with such a puny death roller

Red Harvest wrote:Why is there a stahlhelm on the mini death roller?

well... re-enacting ...I suppose for emphasis of their baddassery nature...(kinda a RL orky reference right there )

I have not yet heard of any "local refuse recycling centres " ...but I bet that would be a gold mine for so many things... the back space sadly is non removable... that would have been a wiser decision to have it done that way...... well this wont be the last for a long shot for sure... (besides... big artillery... I have no idea how to build that...

Camkierhi wrote:I will sort out some vids for you. Got boxes of the things.

I am still thinking about a return package mate... tell me what would be of use for you...will you move forward to more dredds and kans in the future? I have maybe some odd stuff that could be helpful...

OneManNoodles wrote:more half tracks

LOL... well if he shoots backwards this might make the tank certainly take a jump forward that track and especially the treads design are my favourite part of the built too by the way!!!

so... update time... right?...

exactly...

i´ll give you the death roller of...er...shredded death...

and some detail shots...

also... the death roller is still removable...

still in need of course for a gazillion of rivets...but that goes without saying...

aaaaannnd....a supply drop...that will keep me in the game for quite some time

that all was a steal around 20€ worth at ebay I got... (plus P&P) ...

but that wasn´t everything....

and..

amazing... three sprues worth of treads...each sprue worth of one LR right?...

Looking forward to seeing where you go from here!

Oh... and yeh the M3 is a sweet looking HalfTrack for sure..... although.... personally i think i prefer the angles and look of the German WW2 half track (dont know the name sorry)

Nice lot there Vik. Lots of tracks. Other useful bits too. I love the bits bags, always useful.

Half-track looking amazing, brilliant work. Love the detailing. Making me itch at the moment, don't know what to do next, and this is inspirational stuff right here. But I might stay away from trucks for a bit.

As to other things, I am assembling a package for you, but that has the usual stipulation, its dakka karma, pay it forward dude, although all things are gratefully recieved, I do not send anything for return favours. Just enjoy seeing people make stuff..

Love the grille. Very nicely done.

Bits bags are indeed a good thing. That claw for example, have you seen the arm on the Buffalo MRAP anti IED vehicle? Might make an interesting detail to the halftrack.

lol...we did watch the game... or rather the slaughter of brasil...poor chaps... our kids have been on edge for the game ever since the last german game was shown...they even took a midday nap to be able to stay awake for that long...but they enjoyed it immensely...

We better stop belaboring the grumpiness issue, last time people talked about it this much it was 1914. We don't need another repeat of that do we . although it might cause some new tank development and ideas for conversions.

we´ll see if there is that many happy peeps around after sunday... I think my yelling potential got raised the last years... but I guess it is something that comes with age...you just don´t let yourself get pushed around that easily now as you have been when being younger... at least that´s what I do with bosses and teachers alike...they need to earn my respect... the hard way

Sorry I will crawl back in hole now.

the only downside I see toó that idea is ...who would be the losers of said "brawl"? we can´t be sure that the western world will be the winning faction...IF there is a connected faction at all...with all that crosswise spying going on atm...and since the mentioned evil factions that would be good for losers are tossing airplanes and bombs around there is no telling who would win...just think of the ewoks getting rid of the imperium on their moon...even dim lit peeps with just stones can win against a high tech army... my grandfather kept telling me stories of tenthousand Russian fighters coming from a treeline attacking german tanks with just branches and stones and the odd gun inbetween...and eventually they won...civilized armies tend to have an Achilles heel somehow deeply rooted to be toppled...??...this is not based on common sense but on empirical facts....
BUt I have to share a shred of my past mind... when I was younger a thought ruled my mind...humanity could do with just a third of it´s number... a great cleansing and two thirds would be "away"... the problem is..who is deciding who is in and who is not... back then I was the one imagining the handpicking...well now that I am older I am sure that I would be among the ones probably that would bee picked out for sorting...not many peeps in the real world like peeps that speak their mind and these are the ones that get "selected"...well...

Theophony wrote:Yeah it all sounds good until you realize it's the loser who's generally less technologically advanced than the winner. Do we really want to send Iraqis and afgansitani citizens into space? I mean what would first contact look like?

well IF we are able to send so many peeps into orbit (that also means nuke´em^^) then this could be a way to do it... buuuuut raises other issues as well.. who pays for that and who cleans up the mess afterwards... because that will cause a mess for sure no one wants to clean up....and the first contact issue...ohoh...yeah... that would be hilarious... first we send drones out there that have pics of naked peeps with their particulars hanging around...and then fully wrapped up towelheads get discovered by greys....that´s a disturbing story right there....facepalm:

well... back to business... a fully riveted halftrack orky style maybe?.. with some dakka too?...well...here it comes...

the guns are all scratch built... and each one is a different take...different weapon system too...
and the guns can be taken away too...here are the mounts

death roller got a bit tweaked as it was a bit too raised for my own taste...

and here are the guns...
kebab harpoon with fuse

gatling...currently without amo... but that´ll change...

Don't forget the cable to reel 'em in on the harpoon gun

Grumpy Germans or Argentinos de mal genio (de malhumor, gruñones...) will be in abundance soon enough. I just hope it is not like the Germany-Brazil game. That was just ugly. Funny as heck, but ugly.
