Gonna be a little while as I'm working on getting my own IG finished for the tabletop. (1500 of infantry)
After that there's nothing really in the way.

I always love watching titans go together. Partly because I know I’ll never be able to justify picking one up myself, so it’s a bit of vicarious modeling porn.

Looking forward to your projects hitting the blog!

Just waiting on a razor saw if I'm honest. Never owned one, so FW is a little impossible until it arrives.

Okay, so I signed up for a 1500pt 40K tournament in December, with an Infantry theme.
So this lot needs to be complete by then.

Aquila
Leman Russ Executioner
Chimera (done by someone else, I'd like to get some white on there)
Tauros (bag)

Lots and lots of infantry.

As someone who's also currently working their way through a mound of guard infantry I understand how it feels. Guard get so repetitive to paint quickly. You need to have a healthy mixing of other models (such as officers/other cool minis) mixed in or you'll burn out very quickly.

First on the table is my Tauros. I'm going to change the driver and gunner by swapping them for Commissar Cadets.
I need to push mould a torso for the driver, and just fit the gunner a new arm.

The kit itself is very very hard to put together for what it is.
Everything is pushing against everything else.

I'm assuming the cadets are a nod to both the 183d's fluff and to the build-a-commissar workshop you have going on?

Back row is the Commissar Workshop, I'm going to alternate.

Bonus jerp tummy pic.

I'm always in favour of stripping commissars.
Also Mordians.

Biostrip is super effective. Here's the before.

Biostrip eh? I've got a bunch of stuff to strip. Looking forward to seeing the after pics.

Is Biostrip pricey? Where can it be bought from?

It usually looks a lot more dubious but I made an effort to avoid it.

Well I actually made backwards progress on this by stripping a whole bunch of things that were already painted.
Buttery, what are you doing, Jesus.

Posting here to motivate myself to stick with the plan. Hurgh.

I hate it when that happens. I can sympathise though, I have some BA stuff that is painted but never play with because the paint job isn't up to my current standard. I should just strip them and repaint already.

What did you strip?

The Leman Russ, the HWS and the bottom set of infantry. :(

It doesn't help me repaint them all in nine days.

[Internal screaming]

Honestly I shoulda seen this coming.

Failure is not an option

<loads bolt pistol>

You, as a commissar (buttery or otherwise), should know this.

I reworked my army list thinking "50 infantry is too damn many."

So now there's 90. What did I do???

To be fair I did find a squad of based and base painted Tanith in my box.

So what's left to do:

Repaint the Leman Russ Executioner
Finish two Tanith squads (belts, tattoos, pouches, details)
Finish one veteran Tanith squad (everything bar base and uniform)
Finish two Mordian Squads (Epaulets, hats, piping, details)
Start Mordian Vet Squad
Commissar cadet (veteran) squad
Tauros Jeep conversion and painting
Aquila Lander clean up.

By the 5th

Luckily I have nothing but free time until that day.

Preshaded all the Mordians.

Quite often people ask, "Why white?"

And there's two reasons. One, I quite like it and it's very easy to see on the table.

Two, if I ever change my mind or have to sell my army, it doesn't need stripping.

Maybe you remember part of that list where I detailed needing to put snow on an unrelated Leman Russ Battle Tank.
Neither do I.

This snow clumps. I'm struggling with it.

Back view and rebased cadet. My cadets are going to have snow dye to their black uniforms.
This one was painted by someone else, and is an exception to the rule.
