Not quite sure what happened there. I will probably need to wait until the weekend to get a better picture though.

The 6-shot you've already got would be fine on it's own, but you're welcome to take a new pic - entirely your call.

Bah, I wasn't able to get a better pic, so I guess I'll have to go with a trimmed version of my group shot.

Well I managed to get the bikers and the Darkshroud all done. Will post up more pics later this afternoon, but in the meantime here's a shot from the Cancon tournament last weekend, where I managed to claim wooden spoon

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Got my pics taken now, all my bikers as well as my guard command squad. Only other thing I'm gonna work on this month is a repaint of Red 5 for X-Wing and putting together the models for next month, which are my Force Commander for 30k, some 40k Dark Angels, and Goreshade the Bastard and Deathwalker for Warmachine.

OP updated!
Just a heads-up - I'm back at work now, and so I'll have less time for (amongst other things) leaving comments or updating as quickly when needed so these will likely be done a little less quickly and frequently.. Also have been summonsed to Jury Duty next week. That should be fun....

I had the pleasure of doing jury duty as the extra guy, so I had to sit through all of it and then didn't even get to vote... It's pretty boring but unless its like a major murder case you shouldn't be tied up for too long.

I'm hoping for either rejection or a short interesting case that's no longer than 2 weeks.

Totally OT but my favorite jury duty anecdotes were getting called up to the courtroom for jury selection, and my aunt was one of the attorneys arguing the case.

Needless to say I was dismissed almost instantly, and got a pretty nice lunch out of the whole process when she was done.

Other fun time was when the judge recognized my name as my dad had argued before him.

On topic, I'll have some photos of all my finished lizardmen on parade when I'm done with my scien... I mean my KID'S science project.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

You probably need more light, But they look really cool and the bases are jungletastic.

I finished two of my 5. But I've got a few days left.

I'm very smug about the neat freehand on the shield. The guy on the right looks like he should be an explorer/old sea dog type.

You could give the guy on the right a musket or something and he'd be a great stand-in for Shadows of Brimstone too.

You are also completely entitled to be smug about your freehand, because I know I couldn't do it that nicely!

I finished the five! Well maybe the axeman needs a little work. I missed a bit on his tartan...

I pictured the first guy as being a steppe nomad warrior so gave him a more eastern themed pattern.

Good stuff!

I think I'll have my Gore Riders done pretty early in February, but I may keep advancing the project. Though, still can only count one unit per month so I'll have to come up with some new stuff if I deplete my goal/queue.

Nice Axe men .

well, still working on finishing, should have the two fatties done in the morning, then all of these can get their strong tone coating and that's the first batch of zombies for Black Plague.

Struggling to find colors that I think are appropriate for middle ages.....not that it really matters, but I have this thought gnawing at me about what colors were possible, and which ones were royal only. I saw some stupid video years ago about dying fabrics and the people who did it had very short life spans. Many of the inks/pigments were poisonous to handle and they didn't have personal protective equipment.

Well, you can "count" as many units you like per month from your chosen force, but those are like stretch goals and you still need to try to finish a unit every month. That could mean that on the 1st of a new month you finish a unit/hero/monster that you only needed an hour on and that "counts" for your month. Now that might be seen as a way to "cheat" but hell, it could just as easily be a unit or model that's been sitting on your desk that you've struggled to finish.. - but given that there's no prize aside from the finished models and units that we end up with at the end of July nor are there even any "points" involved...

I'm using it to motivate me to finish stuff, and the side projects that I let myself work on after I finish "Challenge" models are like allowing myself a reward.

I feel the same way, I think my gore unit will end up being out of sequence, and I'll just pick something else for the month. Orclings or trolls mebe.
6 units is kinda weak for a KoW army anyway.

My Dystopian Wars stuff actually has pretty small unit counts, so I'm going to be supplementing my monthly quota with additional "stretch goals." I like the ide of having them. It keeps me productive, and lets me add stuff from outside of the Dystopian ranges so I won't get bored working on the same stuff.

I was planning to make myself finish two Skorza wolves each month in addition to my main goals, but I think I'l be changing that for Feb. Instead, my stretch goal is to paint all of my second round of Burrows and Badgers figures.
