So I figured I'd take a stab at some Objective Markers for 5th Edition. I am most proud of the top image, as I was able to cut the base out and inset this Rhino door into the "ground" making it look like the access hatch to some kind of secret cache of weaponry or other tech. I used the neon green objective marker as I figured as the Commander we'd see some kind of waypoint visually represented on our HUD and that marker would be that waypoint, just visually represented. What better way to say "Hey this is a point of interest worth controlling!" The other two are a discarded legendary weapon and some Imperial Communications equipment with a little crunched Ork underneath.

What have you done for your objective markers in 5th Ed so far?

This is a WIP pic of some deployment zone markers I threw together for a tournament. They are piles of skulls with burning incense, to fit with the samurai theme I have for my eldar. They look pretty cool set up as deployment zone markers if you ask me - better than a line of dice - but sometimes my opponents get confused and are like "is that a deployment; what the hell are those?"

So with objective missions, especially the multiple objective ones, I tend to throw them around as objective markers, particularly as noone else in my area really has any to speak of

Sorry for the bad pic, and since this pic I finished them up and made them look nicer. Also, there is cotton wool smoke if you look really carefully, but it didn't come out too well in the picture.

I like your markers. Really like the Ork crushed under the debris.

Here are mine. Fresh off my work bench. This was more an pratice session with the new washes than a need for object markers.

I haven't made any of my own, but I suspect I'll be stealing many many ideas from other folks ^_-.

here is some stuff put together my GW though.

The more folks put up what they've done the more we'll see folks inspired to make their own!

I like the dawn of war inspired objectives. At least that is what I take those to be.

I did this long before 5th Ed but I reckon I'll use it as an objective most of the time. Need to do some more though.

Honestly, I wasn't going to make any, but seeing some of everybody else's, I think I'm going to change that.

For those of you who don't want small objectives like these, you should think about creating terrain pieces to use as objectives instead. You just have to be clear about what is and isn't part of that objective (the whole template is the objective vs. a doorway etc.)

I think it'll be time to scour my bits box for some objective goodies once I get some projects out of the way.

Wow,

I am really impressed by some of the idea here. It hadn't really sunk in that objective markers are going to be vital in 5th. I guess I should go and manufacture some huh?

Thanks to those of you who have posted so far. Good food for ideas!

Here's a piece of terrain I put together can be dual purposed as terrain or as an objective. The base is a CD, which is approximately the radius of an objective.

These are my objective markers. I see that they are nowhere near as grand as some of those posted already...
