Not very good pic, but from what i can see not really. Do the bases, that always makes a mini look better regardless.

Needs highlights and stuff, and some boltgun metal. Highlights make a huge difference, and they're too monocoluored. More colours would be good, and you should paint the metal bits with some metallic paint.

Try dry brushing the wings on his chest, the tops of his feet with a lighter yellow maybe even the top of his head for good measure!

Basing your models would be a step in the right direction. Also try to keep the AOL/text messaging speech off of forums.
EDIT: If your models are indeed based I can't tell from the picture. Clearer pictures would help a lot.

the painting looks great so far considering you've just started but i think you need a bit more colour in there to break up the blue and yellow but so far not bad at all
