It turns out that a great way to get thunder hammer terminators into close combat quickly is to use a Librarian and gate them closer. Unfortunately I do not have much money. But what I do have is a lot of Bitz!
I used an old terminator captain body. Grey knight terminator Force weapon and bitz from the Dark angels veteran sprue.
When he is painted I will add him to my "OMG its Yellow!" blog.

wow I really like this, the storm shield looks a little ruff 'round the edges but I guess it is supposed to have absorbed some seriously fire power over the years so that could work out.
Can't wait to see it painted, congrats!

That is a pretty awesome mini. The book strapped to the of the shield made me laugh a bit tho. Didnt know books stop bulletsvery well but who cares its just to look cool I know. And it is a very cool looking mini, nice work

That's a very nice peice of work you have there. Hopefully the shield will look better when painted though, because it looks a little odd to me.
