wow, they offer a really good discount. Are they dependable? Have you ever had problems with them?

I normally buy from Neal, at http://www.thewarstore.com

They have $5 shipping and a %20 discount off of 40k stuff. They are in the USA though.

HBMC and I have been purchasing stuff from Maelstrom Games (completely seperately) for ages now and we both have repeatedly raved about their prices and efficient delivery.

I save about 30% on any item I buy here in Oz and the longest time I've had to wait is 8 days, and that was due to a public holiday.

I once had them ship a stack of items to me - a large order with Baneblades, those double-monolith packs, Imperial City box and so on. The order was big enough to require 7 different packages be sent to me. It was shipped to me during the Christmas rush. The Christmas rush happened to coincide with a UK postal workers strike. Despite all this, 6 of my boxes arrived in less than 2 weeks. The one item that was missing was replaced for free a month later (once Christmas was done with).

So that's my biggest 'problem'. Maelstrom is fantastic. I always order from Maelstrom unless I need a bitz order order (to Bits & Kits UK) or something I know I can't get from them (Forge World/Direct Only items). Single best online store there is.

I am seriously considering Maelstrom games for the upcoming Guard releases, how are they on preorders? Do you get that stuff in a bit in advance like GW does or are you required to wait until after the 2nd of May to get your stuff?

How can Wayland Games sell stuff for so cheap? They have insanely good prices even including shipping to the US.

I've used Giftsforgeeks several dozen times, and always been 100% satisfied. They process and post quickly(sometimes I get it the next day), and give a 25% discount, which is higher than virtually all other online stores.

Kneadatite Blue/Yellow: search for it online and bypass GW's repackaged version called "green stuff".

I have to plug the Warstore. I have shopped with Neal for years, he is awesome, great customer service, no sales tax, cheap shipping.

The Warstorer is fantastic.

Whenever you find a site that's cheaper than Maelstrom, go and add shipping costs and then compare them. I've had orders from GWUS (back when the Oz/US exchange rate was favourable) where the items themselves were cheaper than Maelstrom, but the shipping made it more expensive, so I went with Maelstrom.

Never underestimate the power of free shipping.

About Maelstrom, how does their shipping work? Granted I haven't looked very well but when I visited their site I couldn't find any info on it, but do they ship for free to the US too or do they charge a flat rate or what?

I noticed you can convert prices on their site, that's pretty handy. Beats having to convert it myself.

It's free. To anywhere.

You pay shipping if you use any of their eBay auctions (not that I ever have), and you can pay extra for insurance if you want (only did that with one huge order... and it was like AUD$50 so it was't much), but aside from those options, you simply don't pay shipping. Doesn't matter if you're in the US, UK or even down here in Oz, shipping is free.

I can't stress that point enough.

As HBMC said though, don't forget to include shipping when you look up prices!

No doubt, I'll make my final decision based on the total price including shipping. I'll only order as long as I can get them cheaper than getting them from the Warstore including shipping.

Cheapest I've found yet! Even with shipping, its still SLIGHTLY cheaper than Maelstrom. I placed an order with them on Monday so I'll comment on their service/speed (so far excellent) once I receive my items.

I just placed an order with Maelstrom.

They have great prices, but their website could use a little help. It gets the job done though, just not as good as it could be - particularly the search function.

Also it didn't appear they had War of the Ring movement trays in stock. Probably better they didn't though, I just grabbed the rulebook. Best not buy another box of figures and more trays like I was planning too. I ended up getting another Ork Trukk instead

Also the order form was a tad awkward in terms of inputting your address (House number on one line, then street name? - where do i put my apartment #? - What county do I live in? Uh, hope they didn't want my state [area/postal code will indicate the state anyway]). They also asked for information (that they require) that my debit card doesn't have (has an expiration date, but no starting date.) Whatever though, I just paid instantly through paypal (paypal hassle free for once?)

I'll post back when I get my stuff.

I've also ordered from the Warstore. Probably would have ordered from them again but i'm about to move so I didn't mind that shipping would take longer. Also, i'm lazy and browsing online is easier than figuring out what I want then checking the the Warstores price list. Meh.

Some cards - in the UK I presume - have start dates on them, some don't. Their form is generic, and the 'required fields' don't (IIRC) require you to put a start date.

Some cards in the US have it as well. Depends, never seen it on an order form.

Well, I figured their "required" fields would be hard coded to not allow me to progress in checkout unless I put something (which could then presumably lead to my card being decline for erroneous information.)

Either way, thanks for the tip about Maelstrom games. If things turn out well I may be ordering from them in the future.

Project Hydra
http://www.wargamesonline.co.uk/

Sure they are only 10% off GW products but it is free 1st Class Royal Mail and for the IG pre-orders they will recieve thier shipment on Apr 29th and proceed to mail them out, so you should get your stuff by the 2nd if not a little early.
