I was thinking about using the Reaver titan gating blaster as the turret to a leman russ punisher. But i wanted to know what the dakka community thought about that.

Would the leman russ be inquisitor sized?

if you can get that gatling and put it on a LR i say go for it!! itll draw soo much fire and attention the rest of your tanks will be able to play untouched lol

Considering that gun is larger than a leman russ I think you're going to have problems.

Way too big. Have you actually seen one? Much bigger than the LRMBT chassis.

they are about the same size from the pic that i saw.
if you mounted it on the back it could work it would be big but that is the point

Sorry, but it would look ridiculously large. Bigger than the tank. Check out the forgeworld macharius vulcan, if you really want to dish out for some forgeworld for the conversion. The vulcan cannon turret would at least be close to the right size.

I have to agree with the general consensus. Way too big and oversized for a leman russ chasis. As Breotan said, even too big for a Baneblade chasis.

it would be like put a main battle tanks turret on a mini cooper, far too big and looking rather darft tbh

Instead of the one off the reaver, you could use the vulcan mega bolter off the warhound titan, you can also buy them seperatly from forge world now

The dimensions for the titan weapons just wouldnt work on a 40k Leman Russ Baneblade maybe but Russ erm how about no.

Original poster this idea is not feasible just get out plasticard tubing cut to desired length.Then cut two leman russ barrels just short of where you attach them to the turret attach tubing about 6 each to a circle of plasticard with a nub in the middle to make a focal point to arrange the others around.Then attach circle to cut away cannons. attach cannons to turret

And hey presto one Leman Russ Punisher.

May need to tinker with the idea but you get my general jist alternatively cut to Assault Cannons down if you cant be buggered with the Plasticard.

I say just build one already. Its not THAT difficult making a 6 barreled gun. Good grief , itll save you a ton of cash anyways.

I would try the new punisher cannons from Forgeworld for the Valkyrie instead. They will be a much better scale for a Leman Russ chassis.

I used some 3mm tubing and a cotton ear cleaner. Might be a bit cheaper.
