Ok so I showed you my first conversions on another post! but I decided it better fit as a blog. I still need to decide on the chapter this should belong to. Any ideas?

The effect will of course be most appropriate if you paint them blue ohmega smurf standard. Recognition is an important part of humour. It is made even funnier because of the contrast to the general image of the ultras as very correct and taking themselves way to seriously. Ridiculing people that are not like "us" is an easy way to make humour and good group dynamics.

Emo marines. Make sure that they are wearing all (faded) black armor with crackly white accents. Also give the ones not wearing helmets eyeliner.

These are pretty funny, It's always good when someone injects a bit of humour into the hobby, are you going to intermix them with normal sqauds, or have them all in one unit like a death company but consisting entirely of marines who could lose a battle of wits with a stuffed iguana lol

btw can we all stop attack emos, they are too easy a target! i say we all go for the computational linguists!

Ok so for all of you that have been asking this squad is not a bunch of emos, they are just bored out of their minds. I need a converted captain of some sort. Then I am gonna have a second squad of 10 that is split into a combat squad. i have some plans for a few crazy dreadnoughts and a vindicator cannon. As I told someone before, this is not a mock army, it is a mocking army, particularly for when I play people who are WAY to enthralled with the game.

On a side note I am almost done with the next conversion!!! Stay tuned for updates

So the question is... Is this guy "gettin low"? Or is this guy neo from the matrix? originally I intended him to look like neo from the matrix, dodgeing bullets. Perhaps its for the best because this pose is a whole lot funnier, however you take it.

He looks as though he has leaned abit too far back and now is feeling the effects of gravity. If he were human this would be the point right before he snaps his wrist trying to break his fall. Call it "limbo gone bad".

I find the Mold line to be more realistic imo because that would be the spot where the armour attaches when the SM puts it on (I do take them off though). I too have made silly models!!! I have an ork dancing, 'Ard boy orks gone wrong, a peg leg ork that has a choppa in him, an ork scratching his butt with ammo, and a nob that looks like he's dodging something. If I get a hold of a camera later then I might post some pictures here.

I have 3 guys on the burner for conversions. 1st is gonna be my gangsta sarge, 2nd is gonna be my Disco Marine, 3rd is gonna be my Lascannon Hammer guy. I'm super psyched. I still need ideas on the last regular bolter guy.

good idea!! I was gonna do it like he was really angry but maybe the other one will work better, see the lascannon was gonna be flipped over and he was gonna be holding it by the barrel end, ready to swing the lascannon at the enemy.

New Picture Day!! the lascannon conversion is done. This conversion was done after playing Halo 3 with a Spartan Laser, meleeing the crud out of my friends (because I ran out of shots). For all of you that thought the lascannon was not a hand to hand weapon, think again!

Brilliant idea I'd suggest the Emperors Pointy Stick as a possible Chapter. How about putting the last guy in a sleeping pose, lying down arms behind his back and sleeping under his helmet.

Here is my history of these guys...

Long long ago, when marneus calgar was just a boy, the Ultramarines were the most powerful space marine force in the galaxy. People from across the galaxy were recruited for the prestigous position of space marine. There were the few who were talented enough for the position but were not the brightest lightbulbs in the galaxy. When Calgar was named master of the chapter, he quickly formed a secret meeting. It was there when he founded the secret division of the 9th company, called company 9 and 3/4. It was here that all of the mentally slower members who had become space marines would be moved. At the founding, he calls this super secret company they are the "special forces of the ultramarines."

And so the 9 and 3/4 division was founded... Its amazing that they even give them heavy weapons at all.

alright New guy up! I had inspiration to make a sleeping guy so here it is (#8)!! I still need a bolter guy and a sarge. Onto the pictures...

Like every other model I have taken pictures of he has mold lines. They will be gone before they are painted.
