I am working on adding to the female numbers in my imperial guard army.
Currently I have some converted escher,tanith models, last chancers etc. But wanted more.

Also running some repairs on some really badly cast Phoenixwargamersclub resins too: Thw waist and belt areas were near enough totally destroyed and numerous bubble holes all over. still got some more work to do on these.

some new additions just arrived this morning.
greenstuffing the sniper rifle as the barrel was a little dinky (to mkae it look like a marine sniper rifle barrel), and the original missile launcer is gone and replaced with a IG one.

nope, but after years of nail biting, i recently stopped and keep forgetting to cut the darn things.

Nice work. I really like the GS WIP.

I like the 2nd edition castings of the female IG by the PhoenixWargamer Club. DarkSoul did a good job with the new mold. They no longer have as many air bubbles. He also uses grey tinted resin, not plain white. The only drawback is a lot of thin flash. It's easy to trim but takes time.

the GW female commisars are on ebay for silly money...seen one go for £30 !

i will see how all these go before moving onto HQ choices.

I did see a conversion someone did of a feamle inquistor as a commisar was quite good, but cant fnd the link


I get the GF to regularly check my sculpts to make sure they arent to.....manga esque..i.e way too cartoony curves and sizes so to speak. The old phoenixwargamers club minis used tog et a lot of stick for being too cartoony

If you mean that Doctor Thunder used to catch hell for making female models with breasts the size of basketballs (ratio wise, that is), and for making female models almost exclusively, and for daring to make female space marines, then "yes" the club got "a lot of stick".

Frankly, I don't think ole Doc was doing anything that wrong for a hobby wrapped around pure fiction.

Yeah some of the comments people used to leave in some of the old doc thunder threads were just plain rude...an opinion is one thing but some people go too far.. I like his concepts, but find i prefer a slightly different style of model.

He was one of the first to dare go that far and challenge the norm.
which is odd as GW have made female IG models even space marines in the past. They would of course never do now as the have the sisters of battle.

It's just came back up late last week. The site does not have much activity yet since it will take time to get the word out.

Doc Thunder is still busy raising his new child but he and DarkSoul are still closing out a few projects: female jungle fighters and perhaps the panzer chick.

I agree completely. Dakka is my favorite GW related site. It's user friendly and doesn't burn my eyes like those sites with white backgrounds.

Regarding your question on TPC about vent channels, have you looked at work on Dakka by BrotherArgos, Sersi, and my simple tutorial?

yup, saw your tutorial already and i have read through several times, its very good.

My Royal Sovereign clay shapers arrived a day behind yours. I'm trying them out now on non-drying clay just to get some experience.

Who makes the none GW models on here? Some nice stuff great green stuffing slightly perturbed by the square breasts until I realised it was a Cadian style flak vest!

The rocket team before i swapped some bits is a shadowforge model from battelfield berlin(german site as the models are actually austrialian (1 sf-scm144 marine special ops rocket set (2) 7,90 euros)
the sniper is also from there I think..let me check.

yeah the chest armour isnt finished yet, does look very weird at the mo. Not quiet sure baout flak vest styling yet...but GS is good stuf to carve into or slice bits off

Stuff looks great , I have some of docs first female guard from his first casts ( the white ones ) they where really in bad shape casting wise I didnt get more because of it , but I heard some good things about the newer mold I might look into it to finish out the platoon .
