This is my rough idea for a small 1000-1200pt army my GF said she wanted an army and that she wanted the mad hatter and alice and wonderland to be the base of colours and such so what do you guys think?

It fits the Alice in wonderland bill, very different, have fun painting it.

Looks interesting and fits the wonderland theme. Maybe trade out the areas that you have black and white for a bright yellow/gold. I think it would pop and make the purple and green pop more than the white and black.

i like the white and black for the playing cards aspect of wonderland, i still have to come up with a chapter symbol though any ideas

if your going for a card theme, go with red black and white but if you are going for a mad hatter crazy colour theme go for crazy colours.

The combo just makes the colours look washed out and dont pop.

What with the Card theme you should go with a Spade for your Chapter symbol.

Incidentally, what is the name of the Chapter...?

yeha i was thinking maybe 3 cards fanned out , also i was thinking the spade would be troops, diamond would be fast attack,club would be elite and heart would be HQ, i have no clue on a name, i am bad with those things,

Alice's colours were blue and white. The Mad Hatter wears earth colours as in yellow, green and brown but has also been drawn with polka dots and checks.

You should do black and white tiled bases as well to go with the Alice and Wonderland theme.

And it is a pretty interesting idea for a colour scheme. I would go for a single card symbol as your army (such as a spade), with another smaller card icon inside it to denote their role.

You will also need to paint "10/6" on all their helmets.

But I would take a look at some more information on the Hatter for more ideas.

i like the base idea, but i hate painting bases, any good website for bases?

Print the bases off if you're going to have a flat surface then cover the paper with white glue or just ardcoat. Use photo paper for best results.

In the new Alice and Wonderland thats comming out it looks like the Mad Hatter has a dark outfit. I like the idea of the black and red colors though.

Should do, just make sure you wipe off any fingerprints before applying.

Edit: Oh dear... that looks like it could be rather rubbish. I usually like Tim Burton stuff, but after the Wonka film... just no thanks.

Your chapter symbol should just be the top-hat with the 10/6 card in it...

Your chapter symbol should be a white top hat, or possibly clubs(I think hearts and spades are already taken).
