Chaos in the Old World from Fantasy Flight games lets players take on the roles of the gods of chaos in Games Workshop's Warhammer Fantasy world. The D6G crew wade through the blood, pus, magic, and debauchery to let you in on the details of the first new WHFB board game in over 10 years.

But before all that. We MENTIONED GenCon awards back in Ep 38, but promptly didn't include the segment. Now it made it into the show! Hear what Raef, Craig, and Russ nominated and selected as winners of the awards that each has created to represent the kinds of things they look for in gaming.

All that and our usual 'not too horrible' humor, with features such as:

- When Wives Attack
- The Hollywood Minute
- The Score
- Listener feedback
- & More

I'm not sure I dare listen. I just saw CitOW in my LGS and I thought to myself "if I like the review on D6G I'll buy it". But then I went and bought Space Hulk at the weekend, so my wife'll kill me if I land home with another big box...

I may have to put off listening to this for a few weeks!

Love the show! I've spent the last few weeks catching up on some episodes that caught my eye on iTunes ... after I managed to get my head arond the mind-bendingly long show-time. I can now sit happily on the bus, in the car or painting at my desk and follow a whole show. Rapid fire and Words from Wales are particularly excellent but the whole production is slick, entertaining and informative.

From this particular episode I thought the live Rapid Fire at Gencon was great, the interview with the guy from Privateer talking about Grind and their future Computer Game release was very interesting and the link between the Wives and Did You Ever Noice was nicely done.

I just listened to the episode with the review of Gutshot this afternoon before I caught up with your latest episode and I have to say you make that game sound awsome!

Thanks for opening my eyes to the wider world of gaming beyond GW and keep up the good work!

**Edit - Damn it I'm still an episode behind! Oh well more D6G for me to listen to!**

Another excellent episode. It looks like I'll be getting Malifaux before Chaos in the Old World. Hopefully, Space Hulk will not be as limited as advertised.

End the scourge that is the baby barge! I've noticed them far too often, and not at gaming conventions. I especially hate it when I'm on a crowded bus, and then someone with one of these lumbering monstrosity gets on. It happens more frequently than should happen in a rational culture. Gah!

Hi guys, you make a great podcast that I listen to whenever there's a new episode. I first ever heard about you on Tom Vassel's DiceTower, where he aired your "twelve days of gaming" and I thought: they're from NH (so am I) so I got to check them out. I haven't listened to Tom's podcast in a while now. I bought Small World, signed up for the Arcane Legions Demo Team and spend some at Myriad Games when I was down there. You guys are an expensive habit...

I have two questions.

1: What is that primer that you guys keep raefing about on the show? I tried to google d6g and primer but came up empty. I need to get that Arcane Legions demo kit painted (oh yeah, I never painted before either: thanx for getting me into that)

2: I listen to you on my commute. My car stereo shows the first 12 or so characters of the show it's playing (as, I suspect, many other stereos do) so it shows: "D6G Episode >" (The > indicates that there's more) This drives me absolutely nuts! Is there a possibility you name your shows "D6G 39 - rest", or something that is descriptive about the episode as soon as possible after a short show ID?

I actually became a member of Dakka just to ask that second question.

Anyways: I need to leave a review on iTunes for you guys one of these days. Keep it up, because the show is great and the dynamics between the three of you are a lot of fun to listen to.

Hi Robert, I'm a big fan of the Dice Tower, and I'm glad that our crazy song thing worked. Hmm, it seems like it's almost time for another one.

"Raefing" about? Is that a new verb? I like it. Our current fav spray primer is "P3 Primer" from Privateer Press. It is available in black or white, and should be at your FLGS.

I hate not being able to read the episode title of a show as well. Perhaps I can shorten the titles to D6G Ep 39 or something in the future. Will that work?

Thanks for listening!!

That would work really well and would make trying to find the one I want to listen too so much easier. Please also remember doing something like that with bonus episodes!

And if someone would talk to Myriad Dan about this that would be awesome. It actually takes shorter to listen through the Donkey Kong intro of their podcast than trying to have my car radio scroll through "Myriad Games Episode x Game Gab, in today's episode we discuss the game... " (I am exagerating, but still) (and boy, does that intro give me a headache)

Love the show. Glad to here you talking about Malifaux. I've been working on my own models and terrain for that game if anyone is interested in seeing them at twilightemporium.net.

Thanks all for the kind words!

Great Show as usual guys!
I also enjoyed hearing my itunes review being read, culainn13, and it's true, there isn't a better podcast out there.
Now if you could do a 3 hour + weekly show I'd be in heaven.
Gotta check out Owen's auctions now, later.

And on behalf of my wallet, thanks for getting me to buy some Warmachine and Hordes stuff. Now I need to get some people to play it with me... At least the painting is quite a lot of fun.

Awesome show. Thanks for the Review of Chaos in the Old World, I've ordered it up and can't wait to play. I was a little intimidated when I downloaded the PDF of the rules from FF, but listening to an overview helped me get my head around it. Thanks again for the work you do.

Craig: Grok (or groking) is from "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Heinlein. Basically it's a high level of understanding or sudden enlightenment.

Hey, if you get to use the word 'paradigm' TWICE in one episode Russ can use 'Grok'.

Right, I'm pretty sure I'm up to date on the podcast now, another great show this week guys, keep up the good work!

I just thought I'd chime in with my suggestion for the name of the D6G awards, how about "The Boxcars".

Ohh, I kinda like that. I can see the trophy now...

Although it does kinda fly in the face of our usual rating system, with lower being better. But "Snake Eyes" is definitely counter intuitive as the best possible roll on two dice.

Well, in keeping with your scoring system, the "1+ awards" guaranteed universal appreciation! I think The Boxcars has a better ring to it though ... and it's an anagram of The Oscars ... errr, well The Oscar bx.

Oh and my buddy who does kendo is no cursing your name as I keep going PIE AH! to him.

Oh and how about calling your award the "one zies"? So good we had to give them a 1+ ?

Were your CitOW plays playing with the 2 tokens for Slannesh or 1? Also, were you doing 1 figure or 2 for Khorne

We played our games pre-FAQ when we reviewed. So far the concensus is that the clarifications in the FAQ improve game balance.

I have played some both ways now. Slannesh dial advancement seemed to be pretty strong before.

Little bit off topic.
What was the name of the car battle game you played at GenCon?
I cannot remember what episode it was mentioned in.

The game is "Rush 'n Crush." I liked it so much I picked up a copy at Gencon and we've been enjoying it quite a bit.

I'm listening to the episode a bit late, and I'm having a hard time making out part of the rapid fire segment. What was the "correct" answer for the hulk question, because whatever the words are they're apparently too surprising for me to hear. Able Manguage?!? Huh, what?!?
