The only thing "wrong" with it is that the shoulder pads are wrong for Termies of that era.

But for the Assault Cannon, is that just a Heavy Bolter with it's barrel clipped off and an Assault Cannon stuck on the front of it?

Pretty sure he just means pre-heresy Dark Angels, as he has the colour scheme correct for pre-heresy. My friend here locally (Ottawa, Canada) has a pre-heresy 'Deathwing' army, all black like your test model.

When done nicely (like you have done) the army is quite striking. Also excellent conversion work, looks much more menacing with him holding the heavy weapon a la a devastator.

I like it....as a model.....on the fluff nazi front....assault cannons are a post heresey thing, pre heresy they uses reaper autocannons.
