as my tanith regiment is nearly completed, i decided it was time for a new project!
So after todays round of 40k i received a large sprue of approx 15 space marines


As i do not have any completed(or wip models) just yet i shall share to you some background and fluff regaurding the beloved Angry Marines

But he was borne upon the ethers and drifts of space, alone in his capsule save for a discarded copy of Battletoads III that the Emperor had thrown out, a legendary artifact that had fueled research into vast weapons of war that it might be unmade and erased from history.
When the capsule had finally been rammed into a drifting hulk of an old imperial battleship, it is said that the Primarch was so enraged and frustrated with the vile game that he headbutted out the Adam's apple of the first survivor that he encountered, and thereafter killed every inhabitant with the remnants of the dying initial combatant."

My chapter had landed on a barren little ball of rock called Vesuvius. The Inquisition had ordered us to the planet on suspicion of Chaos corruption. Surely enough, we ran into a group of Chaos Marines within a day of landing. The fools. Turning their backs on the God Emperor for whatever sick rewards they received from the deceiving Warp fiends. The battle started the second morning. Their attack was especially fierce, and my brothers and I had great trouble keeping them at bay. It seemed that for every one of them we killed, three more showed up. Our own losses were of no small concern. In a rare moment of calm, Brother Captain Morgan confided in me that if we were not killed by these berserkers, we would almost certainly be killed by the Inquisition for failure. As our numbers dwindled, I grew concerned: surely we would all be killed, and the Emperor's work would not be carried out. We prepared for a final assault, one which had been coming for near a week of the most intense fighting I had ever seen. We surrounded a small hill, atop which stood our last Dreadnought, Brother Klarr. We saw their force coming from below. We knew this was our end. But suddenly, a shadow passed over us. Some great demon come to finish us off? No. It was a drop pod. Out of it stepped a small company of our brethren. They wore bright yellow armor, a bizarre crest upon their shoulders, unlike any chapter I had yet heard of. A circle, with two lines crossing it and two dots in the middle -- almost as if to suggest an angry face. They formed a line between us and the now charging Chaos Marines.
The Chaos Marines' bright red armor shone in the late afternoon sun, the spikes upon their shoulders menacing. The new arrivals stood fast. As the distance between the two forces began to close, there arose from these yellow warriors the loudest scream I had ever heard. It shook the ground. Even through my helmet, it made my ears ring and my skull ache. And it simply kept getting louder as their Captain's fist slowly rose into the air. As it rose to a nearly supersonic volume, I finally made out the words contained in the scream:
"ALWAYS ANGRY!!!"
In a chorus louder even than the Captain's scream, the soldiers returned:
"ALL THE TIME!!!"
Then it began.

Without a word, these space marines returned to their drop pod and were soon whisked away from the battlefield. There had been no more than a dozen of them, not a single word exchanged between our two chapters. To this day, I have never seen any marines fight with such rage and hatred. The mass of enemy berserkers was reduced to mere chunks, legs, arms, heads, craters full of blood. Bits of red armor lay strew about the field. We had not even had the chance to advance by the time the screaming - both theirs and the enemy's - was through. I turned to my Captain and asked, "Who were they?"
"I had thought it was rumor. But no. Emperor bless us all, those were the Angry Marines."

I will watch this one with GREAT interest.

I recommend using Blood Angels rules for maximum anger.

As it stands i will be using the rules listed(with some modifications) that have been released on 1d4chans TG angry marines entry http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Angry_Marines (be advised copious amounts of profanity follow) After all what would be a squad of angry marines without dual power fists, power feet(for kicking people in the balls) and power bats/wrenches

that being said i have done a little work today

I have a double Chainsword-Cigar-Puffing marine in the works, ive filed off the aquila symbol so i can aptly place an angry face on it
Mind you this is my first dabble into green stuffing, any tips for this madness would be greatly appreciated.



Seeing the above picture really inspired me, thus i had to create a marine with a plasma pistol and close combat weapon(lol), that being said i had
major glue rebellions so it needs alot of cleaning to fix up

It looks like you used a malfunctioning glue gun to glue those on... Less glue, more anger! (the conversion is cool, though... except for the glue)

As other people have said, yeah, that is too much glue. Apart from that I think they're really cool. Great to see some more humour in the grim future of Warhammer 40,000.

Once that Marine gets cleaned up that will be an incredible piece.

Backstory first:
Brother-sgt Jackass of F*CK BALLS squad is one of the most notable and angriest marines in the service of the chapter.
During his career he gained an astounding hatred towards furries, quoted as saying "THOSE [see forum posting rules] SUCK ALOT OF GODDAMN C*CK, GODDAMN FURRIES"
During a skirmish with a cult of the abominations Jackass ended up cock punching a furry so hard he disintegrated his whole fist, after the battle he neglected an augmetic
replacement, instead replacing his hand with a large knife on the grounds that "F*CK YOU [see forum posting rules]". One hour later in a usual fit of rage over a wronged pizza delivery he cut off
his other hand, this time electing to replace it with a bolter on the above grounds. In an effort to complete the set he then had a bolt pistol attatched to his helmet mask, aimed slightly downward, in order to "SHOOT THOSE [see forum posting rules] IN THE GODDAMN BALLS"...... he also has some nunchucks which are pretty sweet

i cleaned it up as best i could, but i fear hes beyond repair.

everytime i look at the front of the guy throwing an IG , i laugh .. i looks like he has a arm on his shoulder and two legs on his backpack . I first though you were gonna do mutated CSM or something

honestly looking at my supplies i could probably make another one...maybe even throwing two ig, could be some sort of titanic clash?!?

I think overall its fun and inventive, but honestly I think if you cant get them cleaned up a lot more or do it with less glue everywhere it will detract heavily from your time and effort. Try using testors cement in the little black tubes. They have little knecks and make glue control easy.

id hate to have to explain it, because that would mean my modeling skills are so terrible that you all missed it.
At anyrate. This angry marine is doing three of the most angry activities he can partake in.
1) Tearing off a guys arm
2) stomping on the guys junk
3) giving him the finger while doing so

i tried to use the greenstuff to produce almost a freezeframe in which blood is follows the path that the torn off arm
followed.

it doesn''t really look right. try not to use freeze frames, i find they don't really work, just get rid of he GS and then put a snaped bone and some blood next to the shoulder.

also, for your chapter master/captain, have a guy with a MASSIVE circular saw on a pole (obiously with an angry face on oone side)

instead of powerfists, you know those big hands at baeball games? have one of them on a marines hand, giving the finger with the words "f*ck you all!" on it.

rhino art will be brilliant for this btw. also, i think the knife/bolter hand guy looks good, but he looks kind of ametureish. try sculpting the joints a bit better, and using greenstuff to make wire/piston attatchments, otherwise, honestly (sorry) it just looks like youve stuck a knife on some guys stump.

i think the concept art and the fluff are great for this by the way. i would LOVE to do this army. i know this is your first time sculpting (as youve said) and i think this is an AMAZING project, really funny and seems kind of like orks (conversion wise) so i would try and do a bit of GS practice as well. this is brill.

i also think you should replace all power swords with power-basebalbats, and even go as ar to replace pwerfists with foam baseball fan giant hands. maybe, if your really skilled, convert all of your bolters into paitball guns (jus for the fun factor) i can just imagine a duel scene, where an ork stormbboy is flyingg at him with a sword and he sprays him in the eyes with paint. awesome!

I am loving the work so far! I can't wait to see some of these guys painted I agree with the above post, lose the freeze frame blood and maybe do just a couple of blood drops along with showing the bone.

Indeed, the green stuff on the catachan is awesome btw! Maybe make a new guy holding an IG and put the catachan in his hand instead of mr blobby's? (Sorry, I had to give him a nickname)

Um, they looks great. Have you tried resculpting their eye bits to make the eyes all mean looking? Like this one

Lastly, and least of all, that arm pulling gore seems a bit thick. Are you gonna carve it down from there?
