Hey guys!

I have decided on creating a Celestial Lions army using the Black Templars codex. I love the fluff behind these guys and the color scheme. I haven't really had much experiance painting gold but I think it came out well.

Counts as Helbrecht and Sword Brethren Squad

The gold is completed only on the arms, shoulder pads, and backpack. The rest is still very WIP. I made the sword brethren using the assault marines box, black templars chapter upgrade box, and the vangaurd marines box. What do you guys think?

The gold is looking good. might get a few more comments when, he has a head.

Try bringing over some more lights, as I can hardly see anything at the moment :(

But what I can see looks good... so take more pictures in better light so we can have a better look

Im liking the gold on the commander, would possibly like it better if i could see more of it though lol

apart from the gold what other colours are being mixed into the scheme?

Thanks. . I can't really decide on a head. Does anyone have any suggestions? I may pull the head from the sword brethren with the power mace and give it to the commander. How does that sound?

Yeah, I have a crappy light source and camera. I am going to try and borrow a friend's camera and get some better light sources.

Well the Celestial Lions scheme has gold armour and a blue helmet and shoulder pads.

I'll get a picture of the scheme up here in a bit. Right now I am in class

Nice work but I don't think you can count two power swords as dual lightning claws.

very nice, I am interested to see how a whole army of these bad boys will look, I have a sinlge CL Sgt/Cpt(count as Shrike or Sgt) in my own army, was impressed with how easy the scheme was, and how nice it looks. will be watching this thread closely.

oh, another note, what gold did you use? any washes? personally I used Shinning Gold, with Devlan Mud and Babadab Black washes, for the blue I used Enchanted Blue, and it looked close to the same image your using. if you like I can through up the image at some point, but I won't just jump into your thread without premission.
