I actually have one that KB-lock kindly gave me. I'll give it a go when I get some GS.

If you can get some copper or aluminum wire that will hold a bend you can wrap Green Stuff around it and bend it once it's cured if you don't make the bends too sharp.

You could also use actual cables. Grab some cat5, strip the outer casing so just the 8 inner cables are visible. Put some GS bands every so often to hold it together and glue the wires when you are set. You can add or remove as needed if it needs to be thicker or thinner.

cat5/e wires are 24 in american wire guages, which shakes out to .51mm

Given the join point raised earlier, how feasible do you think it would be to use an actual metal hinge? The hip/thigh joint looks like it could come open and be assembled around a mounting plate lodged in the lower leg- that correct?

How about extending the existing FW cables with exposed bundles of smaller smooth wires made from paperclips, brass rod or whatever thin materials you can find.
Seems to make sense for your project, as if the rubberised outer coating has perished or metal outer cable has rusted away over time.
Here's an awesome diagram that I spend ages on but I think it makes sense.....

I'm not sure I'm following you. I will take some photos of the knee for you when I'm back at the desk. Everything sits and grooves very smoothly and tightly together.

In all honesty I'm not a fan of exposed cabling. I am not a fan of the cabling full stop! What enterprising enemy wouldn't just slice it off and kill your God machine?

They have to get close enough or be shooting for long enough first.

I did not want to say anything but that plushie collection IS epic.

I agree on the cabling: it always seems like an add-on compromise.
It is like an ammo feed rack on the outside of a tank... just begging for trouble.

That's a small shelf of my Digimon. It's all the original rookies and blobs in "Digi pal" beanie form, plus Hawkmon, Impmon and Terriermon.
The Pokemon are Entei, Mewtwo and Charizard "paki paki" plush which have a ball jointed skeleton inside. I never really wanted to collect them, but on s technical level they're very cool.

I also had an obscenely large Pokemon collection themed on Lucario (I sold it last year to pay rent), and another of Plusle and Minun (boxed up as I ran out of space), plus I have a Pikachu from every World's TCG event for the past 5 years, they amuse me greatly.

The shelf above the beanies is hand sculpted MLP statues, my black library limited editions, and a Canis Wolfborne.

And she went out for a game today, I tacked on all the covers and plating with superglue.
The hips broke, and Pistons fell out, because too much weight was purely on the hip ball joint. I pinned it once home, through the pelvis into the joint about six times, and it's secure again.

Nearly a year and I'm back on this.

She has seen play.

She will no longer be able to clap. I have donated her second hand to Golem Studios to be used as part of a fundraiser build.
No regrets.
