Ive been thinking of doing IG army for ages and finally had time to make a start. Its going to be a mechanized army with lots of tanks and transports.
Im going to use them as allies for my Imperial fists and Inquisition armys.
If i ever get them painted.

Heres a few guys to see what you think.
I love the pig iron heads and will be using them throughout the army.

Looking pretty good mate! I like the camo and the bases, and of course I'm partial to the Pig Iron heads as well.

but if you put a wash on it. It will make the minis stand out more

Those pig iron heads work well with the cool camo. My only hangup is that the boltgun metal parts look too shiney and new. Maybe consider making them look a bit tarnished? Still great guard. Keep it up.

PS. What are you using for the plains/grassland on the bases?

I second the wash, or perhaps do some blacklining.

I see you have some Badab Black. Try using that.


What brand is your cuttingmat?
Do you keep something nice in the red cup?
What is the big white thing to the right.......and why on Earth didn't you use it as a backdrop for your pictures!?!

Hey those look nice. The camo looks good as do the bases. And how can you go wrong with Pig Iron heads? Pretty solid all the way round. Now lets see some tanks!

They look really good so far but I have two criticisms

1: The gas masks look like black latex S&M masks. I don't know it is the camera flash but they look really shiny. If the shine was removed then they would look great.

2: The carapace armour could use an ink wash, as it looks a bit like the "green army men" look, if you get what I mean.

They're good models, bit I just added a few thoughts on them.

Whats wrong with S&M masks?

Love the camo!

Maybe try gray on the gas mask / gloves and wash it black. Or dry brush some gray over the black.

Looks great, the metal parts just looks a bit too clean though.

Thanks for the replys. ill defintely put another wash on and sort the metal out some how.

Lexx - for the bases i used calthan brown, gale force 9 dark green and winter/dead static grass.

Steelmage99 - im not sure what brand it is, just one from local hobby store.
- in the red cup, nothing special just water
- its a tile i use to mix paints.
