Human Auxiliary to the Empire

Hi this is my first conversion/ battle scene i saw on the Gw site and thought "i want to try that"
so i ended up doing it as commander farsight to make it more "themed"
have pinned the sm and the battlesuit up, along with bending the sm's legs and his arms up and grabbing the foot to make him look like hes being crushed but still giving some fight, and ive used a Ork chainswd as the dawn blade as it is a wep found on an ork planet, drone top for the sheild, and ive added some armour plating to his legs as he needs more "cc" armour when hes kicking people. Its almost done just needs the plasma rifle adding but dont have one atm:/
more to follow
Hope you like it

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Looking pretty good, though I have to laugh a little bit at the thought of Tau being in close combat

Does he have an Ork chainsword?

Nice, I lovehow you've positioned it. The only bit I don't like is the orky chainsword. It just doesn't seem to fit.

The dawn blade was either necron or eldar origin, DEFFINATELY not ork.

Nice positioning though.

Yep thats like the one i got the insperation from, and the chain swd is currently temp until i can get a proper styled one like the dawn blade, was thinking that currently its what the orks got their insperation from for their weps or somin?, will hopefully have it changed by the finished photo

Edit: made a dawn blade now, needs painting and positioning but will hopefully have pics up by later today (about 5pm GMT) of the final model keep watching this space

Truly awesome. The pics might be ter, tho. I suggest taking some in sunlight against a neutral background, although the only cure might be a better camera. However, GREAT POSE! VERY AMBITIOUS!

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Die, You are forgiven. If I Live, I will kill you." Such is the Rule of Honor.

Good pose overall. I feel as if the paint job could be better, but looks great nonetheless!

The difference between commitment and involvement is like eggs and ham; the ckicken was "involved", the pig was "comitted".

Thanks . The paint is ment to be as though they have been slogging it out in a dirty war torn battlefield, not just had a jetwash like most models look.

I hate to post this because I know you're never going to look at that model again in the same way, but you did ask.

The concept is supposed to be that either he's landing on the marine, or leaning over and kicking him. Instead, to me, it looks there was this Tau guy on the battlefield, and this super marine ran over and picked him up and threw him. The expression on the Tau's face (such as it is) just screams to me, "WTF."

A better way to make the interpretation of the aggressor a little less ambiguous, imho, would be to pin the marine's left foot and an angle, heel visible, with the other foot up in the air, to indicate he's flying backward. Or even glue the marine to the Tau's hoof/foot/whatever, so he's completely in the air.
