Hey, all. I'm coming back to 40k with a Tzeentch CSM army, and I need a suitable Daemon Prince model to lead 'em. The GW models are mediocre, don't have wings, and look pretty Khornate, so I guess I'm going to convert, and I figured I'd get some advice here first. I don't have a whole lot of skill at modeling, but it should be fun anyway.

So, where to start? I was thinking I'd buy a normal DP for a starting point, as well as a Lord of Change for the wings, weapon, and other parts. That much is pretty straightforward, but here's the kicker: the character's name is Janus, so I'd like to give him two faces, on one head. I'm thinking side-by-side instead of front and back, so not entirely true to the myth, but more interesting. Like I said, the default DP head looks way too much like a Khorne model, but the Lord of Change head isn't exactly good for this purpose. Any ideas?

The Lord of Change will work VERY well but those wings will need Epoxing to the back seriously and they will take 24hrs at least to dry mine did.

For the face how are your Green Stuff skills??

I remember an old greater deamon, now it would be slightly smaller than a DP. See for your self (not my model, just a random pic).

Perhaps you can get it from somewhere if you like to use the heads.
Anyway, good luck with the conversion. Two heads sounds great, and not to hard to make if you find the parts.

Yeah, I figured I'd need to get creative with the adhesive for the wings. Unfortunately, my green stuff skills are nowhere near good enough to make a head from scratch.

You can always try taking 2 heads you like, trim them so they will fit side by side, and just use some GS to smooth the join between them.

If you don't mind having a really small head, the CSM sprue (or perhaps the posessed sprue, not sure), has a mutated almost-2-faces head.

Yeah, this is what I'm hoping to do, but I don't know of any good heads. The LoC head is too long and skinny, won't work very well.

Try using heads from the flamers of tzeentch models, they are like the LoC but a bit stockier

And I've just realised I'm talking about the OLD flamers, not the new ones that just have huge holes full of fire for heads.

You could use the lord of change instead
