Updated list I've been playing and winning with on a net program that shant be named.
Just wondering if anyone has some helpful hints with tactics that they might want to point out. List building wise I'm fine-ish (learning about bosspoles I admit was not fun) but Tactics themselves are my weaker point.

I think your list is a hodgepodge of bad units at bad sizes with poor choices of wargear, and something I flinch to see fielded as a devout Ork player.

My advice: If you want to play a Shooty ork army, start with 45 Lootas and build from there.

Mr Dash. Not to be rude, but the lootas are the least reliable thing I field in that list. I appreciate your time, but assuming that the above list is the only thing fieldable for 'Codex:Random' what techniques would you use?

You're telling me that 240 points worth of Flash Gits have killed more than 150 points worth of Lootas?

Flash Gits who have 4+ armor saves, 4+ feel no pain, two wounds each.....they can move and shoot (which Lootas cannot), and are a less attractive target than Lootas because their guns don't threaten tanks like Lootas do, when 5th edition is all about mechanized lists...

I presume the net program you don't want to list is Vassal. If you've been playing and winning with this list, I can't help but presume that you've been playing scrubs who have no idea what they're doing. I *also* use Vassal, I *also* play orks, and I'm decidely not a scrub.

Why don't you take this 1500 point list here....step it up 500 points on Vassal and I'll play a game against you; and I'll voluntarily play 1500 against you 2000. I'd like to take a mediocre list at a 500 point deficit and table you with it; I don't know how better to show you that your list is junk than to take a mediocre, untailored list at a huge point deficit and take your army apart with it.

Yeah, but presumably you're shooting transports with the lootas. 8 vehicle kills is a much bigger deal than 24 infantry kills.

Imo, your list makes too many concessions to fit in non-synergistic "fun" infantry units. Everything is vulnerable to shooting turn 1. Everything but the lootas require several turns to harm AV unless the opponent brings his tanks into range for you.

60" on the SAG, 48" on the lootas, 36 on the zzap gunz

And no I don't do something so silly as to shoot st 7 weaponry against AV 14.

This list is bad and you should feel bad!

You need more Lootas and less Gitz.

Drop the Dread, get more Kans.

Why waste 150pts on Random? Why not get something good?

Lootas are great .if you roll 5 or 6 on dice you ll have 45 attack for 15 loota with Ballistic skill 2 you have a chance of 1/3 to hit (how much dice you roll it is more close to the close to average ) this makes average 15 hit.When you are trying to kill infantry mostly toughness 4 you wound on 2+ which is pretty good.
Flash gitz has no chance to come near to loota.
