Good job on the hazard face paint. Changes the character a lot with that addition.

Thanks MrMerlin glad you like him its not really thread resurrection, more that I've not had time to paint anything that doesn't involve power armour in a while lol.

This is the mini I've been working on this week for a painting competition, its nice to paint something that isn't clad in power armour for a change.

Now that I've nearly finished all my Dark Wolves in the chaos thread I thought it was time to paint something that's not in terminator armour for a change.

Today I had a look through my other random minis I have building up and decided to paint my Pegasus for my girl friend, she's been waiting for me to finish my Dark Wolves as they had painting priority.

It was quite fun to paint even though it's had so much GS work done to it over the last few months, its not the best fitting model and this one came from ebay so it was even worse

I'm unlucky in that I dont have a flgs.

You can find it here http://www.maelstromgames.co.uk/index.php?act=pro&pre=val_hob_mod_sef_104_000 They do all different types, just paint it as you would a mini but dont glue your mini on top of it as it will come off! I put very carefully around their feet.

If you want to see some more examples check out my chaos blog (first link in sig) nearly all of my minis there use it.

Pegasus looks nice, good job. But while the body has lots of depth, I tink the wings could use another shade or highlight... they look a little too flat imho.

Fancied painting something different after doing loads of Sisters of Battle over the last few months. I've had the below mini sitting on my painting area for about 6 months so did the good thing and gave him a lick of paint.

First time I've managed to paint hair that I'm happy with I also done something a bit different and glossed his armour (blue parts, which you cant see) as well as his sunglasses, I don't normally do this to armour but it came out well and gives a different feel to the cloak which is in the same colour.

I present to you Commander Coleman Stryker from the Cygnar faction of Warmachine.

I think I may also pick up the rule book for Warmachine so there will be some more minis due next year.

Nice job on the cape, and I'm totally sold on the gloss. Great job.

Thanks guys, I think he's one of my best painted minis so far. It's amazing how much better you can paint when your not rushing to get an army finished by a deadline.

Its also the best use I've found for the new chaos codex, it makes my pics so much better than anything I've used so far

Some new things for you today.

First up is my second Warmachine model Taryn Di La Rovissi, I've picked up the rule book as well but I'm saving it to read over Xmas.

Next we have a mini for my girlfriend she wanted the Dreadfleet Swordfish boat but without the sword on the front and any of the typical GW skulls R Us on the sails so I took them all off I didn't think it would be that hard but it took ages.

Even more things today I've started to pull some scenery together as I want to be able to play/practice next year at home here's the layout of the first two buildings use the same buildings as NF09 uses

I'm thinking about mounting them on plasticard or something a but more sturdy the large building will have a big crater in the middle.

That's all there is today as well as some new Raptors in the chaos blog

If we ever get any more good weather I will try and get some better shots, the ones of Taryn came out really bad and that's after the second attempt lol

I know what you mean about the weather. Can't airbrush below about 9 degrees and can't spray prime below 5. Nightmare.

Something different again today this time from WFB an Empire Engineer, this was an experiment using mostly glazes and washes in the Marienburg colours although the blue is a bit too dark but it contrasted nicely I think
