Hmm no love for the old guy

Well today we have the start of a bit of scenery which I need some input on, does the sand look like sand?

Missed the old dude! Lovely shading on the robes and sleeves. Sand looks good, like how it extends to the building' maybe clog up the join between the two a bit more though?

I've kind of given up with painting scenery at the moment as I require a load more painting and modelling materials to continue which I don't have the money for at the moment.

No I didn't bring this thread back to life just to say that

When I first decided to go back into the world of miniature painting a few years ago initially I was going to paint a WFB Empire army but things went very off course and I ended up painting a very large 40k army or 5.

I pulled out the bits for my Empire general today and started to work on my initial idea for him for something different to paint.

Here he is so far with the basic parts put together

That is a quality build my man! I really love the idea and the dynamism. Only thought would be splay the fallen guy's arms back a bit more, maybe? Awesome, though.

Cheers Graven, thats as far back as the arms go without the silly armour shoulder pads looking out of place.

Originally I had planed to have the mace arm resting on the stone to his left but the shoulder pad ended up under his arm if you posed it like that.

A mini from a different game for you today, I was saving her to be a Vindicare Assassin for my Exorcists but felt that she deserved more

I really do enjoy painting black clothing, those hexagons were a right pain though.

Now she needs some PanOceania friends as I don't play at the moment some recommendations would be great

I did some work on the Empire generals troll today, all the trolls blues are now finished, the grey scales on his back are highlighted they just didnt get picked up in the picture.
