Also, those jugger heads on the side really do look out of place, and they are a spot on match to the crusher kit ones, so possible photoshop, but i cant place anything else from it.

I looked at it some more and I'm pretty sure it's real. The derpy face, the skulls in a skull, and the weird blend of hard and round is pretty much distinctive of GW's Chaos stuff. I'm pretty sure if someone mocked something up with a conversion they had made, it would look better or worse than this... but this has WTF Chaos written all over it.

On the upside, if all of the new stuff is this bad, I'll have an easy time passing.

I am thinking how easy it would be to just takethe ffront part put some legs on it to make a chaos knight titan

I'm not sold on it if it's a LoB. Those things should be huge. Seeing as a LoB is in the background of this book cover.

Well it's based on a Lord of Battle, but given the way GW names things these days expect it to be called a Helknight.

We seem to be moving away from the Dark Vengeance aesthetic with startling pace. *sigh*

I like the bottom half, and I think if it wasn't holding the giant axe it wouldn't be as bad. The head really kills it.

It looks like a giant version of one of the Possessed heads. I hate the possessed heads.

It's much closer to a Death Dealer than a Lord of Battle.

Yeah now I've had a chance to look at the kit I'm not the biggest fan, I'm more excited about the fact it's an apoc update confirmation. Not really a big fan of khorne so that kit would've been on the 'maybe' list regardless of its aesthetic. How are people complaining about skulls though, yes they're overused everywhere else but for once they're entirely appropriate to the kit. Definitely an updated deathdealer, I just hope the old sheets remain legal or see updates as I have a plague tower with a fair amount of money sunk into it and I was making a start on a couple of the fluffy datasheets.

FYI, the old Epic LoB has (in game) 2 battle cannons and the model has said gun in its mouth. Also, the Deathdealer has a stomach cannon. It's appropriate as the originals have them.

Yes.. it's hard to believe that they are from the same company! Those chosen miniatures in DV were cracking.

IF it is a LoB, I say give it a dog-like head (as the things are supposed to be avatars of Khorne) and integrate the blade into its wrist and it's passable IMO.
