Well also consider that 4chan is kind of a haven for trolls and that naftka will literally print any rumor you send him, and you've got yourself a fine cocktail there I wouldn't trust anything from faiet unless it had a name attachced, and it was a name I was familiar with.

His named sources haven't been awesome either. Although the one shots do pretty well.

8th pretty much killed WFB in my area. It needs to go back to the days of 20 model units not this 50 models per unit if it wants to attract new players, it is far too expensive in its current form. Magic also needs toning down, it is way too destructive. No one wants to paint up 50 models to have them all die in a single magic phase.
Strangely, they seem to be incorporating some of the things commonly disliked about WHFB in the recent edition like a huge boost in magic/psychic powers over onto the 40k side on top of doubling down on what people already have rejected (namely shoving Apoc down regular 40k games' throat)

stickmonkey backs up natfka:
Release Schedule Rumors via Stickmonkey on Faeit 212
My sources are almost lock step with the schedule youve posted. Beyond that they say major releases for the coming year are (obviously with other smaller releases in between with the new pacing):
Oct-nov - dark eldar
Nov-dec - hobbit (which ive heard will end additional development by May 2015, and support/releases for it will last 1 year past that), new scenery for 40k, including a crashed/destroyed land raider set piece, and the long awaited xenos scenery rumored to include a bunker each for eldar, orks, and tau. Each about the size of the small wall of martyrs bunker)
Dec-jan - Space Wolves, a Battle of Garm apoc supplement
Jan-Feb wfb beastmen
Feb-mar 40k necrons, wfb scenery "bridge"
Mar-beyond in no particular order - skaven, grey knights, high elves, sororitas!?, inquisition, empire

Well, comped 8th re-vitalized WHFB around here and in most parts of Europe. Magic is broken but can be fixed by a few adjustments. Cap the # of additional PD generated, grant LOS! to 6th spells, limit # of dice to be thrown at Death / Shadow spells to 4. A few adjustments that massively balance the game out.
The problem is that with 40k 7th, GW has proven to absolutely suck and not care about rules and with comped WHFB being relatively balanced right now, I don't want those idiots anywhere near the ruleset.
I actually like the early 2015 Necron rumor, though. At this point, we know if 7th is really as bad as it seems to be now and if it is, purhase interest for Necrons will be at a peak along with an overall price increase for all models.
Ralis wrote: Yeah... I don't believe they would wait until august to come out with the new starter set, Considering they've already pulled DV off the shelves.
White Dwarf says they are repackaging DV with new 7th edition books. This is known and posted in both this thread and the 7th edition one.

It would also be a pretty much constantly recurring rumor since the Cities of Death buildings were released. Aside from a handful of Forgeworld things that aren't in production anymore and one set of Ork barricades, xenos terrain doesn't seem like something GW's terribly interested in making. I'd love it if they did, but it's one rumor that I will not believe until the kit is in my hands.
There's also far too many WHFB releases in there.......
even if there is a new edition which revitalises the game it's still a small, small player for GW compared to 40K and I think it's just too many for the powers that be to be comfortable with

Again, it might be a symptom of the financials. It has commonly been held that much of GW's releases are completed well ahead of time. It might be precisely because they've had a rough year so far, that they've pulled 40K stuff forward, and pushed FB stuff back, leading to an unusual concentration of FB releases, whereas the original intent might have been for a more balanced schedule.

If Brets release in July, I can see dumping a few hundred bucks. Unless it's a stupid limited release without Grail/Questing Knights. I'll be irate if that's the case.

Hmm I suppose that's a fair point,
although I suspect that even if this was the case we'd find they'd still add in some hastily written 'oooh another 3rd company' supplement for some of the Marine Chapters (that nobody is really interested in like the Space Sharks or similar... sorry Shark fans)
with maybe a single model release re-purposing one of the less stellar sculpts they've taken all the way to cutting the mould before giving up on (and we've certainly seen they have stuff like that), perhaps as a limited run
I don't think anything listed (based on the assumption it's accurate, which is, of course, tenuous) excludes that idea as well.
There'd be much shorter lead times on that, digital codex supplements don't leak to rumourmongers, and the lists still seem very focused on a monthly cycle, there's plenty of wriggle room for the odd splash release.

Orks Collectors codex will have a slipcase that will come with an artbook and a Ghazghkull supplement. The Ghazghkull supplement will be released at a later date.
“…this will come as no surprise to you after our talk today but I just talked to my sales rep and he told me that their is a new Space Wolf flyer sitting in the warehouse awaiting release right now.
The next 40k army after Orks will be Space Wolves. Stay tunes for more information on Orks and Space Wolf releases.
A new Realm of Battle board will be released with 7th edition. This board will have a “40k/City” theme and will be 6′ x 4′ with a travel bag like the current Realm of Battle Board.
They were right (and early) on quite a few 7th edition things (3 books in a slipcase, calling bs on the %-system when BoLS/Natfka posted those, etc...)

That is what is called a bait and switch. No new starter box before Christmas witha brand new edition of the game? There is no way gw won't capitalize on that.
I am The Fury. The flames of my rage will incinerate you. I came back from space. As I returned, I had one vision. The world set ablaze. And do you know what I saw there? (he aims his flamethrower upwards and incinerates a group of bats) Fury! A great and terrible Fury at being alive. Now you're going to feel the scorching heat of that horrible blackness.

First, that's not what bait and switch is.
Spoiler:
Bait-and-switch is a form of fraud used in retail sales but also employed in other contexts. First, customers are "baited" by merchants' advertising products or services at a low price, but when customers visit the store, they discover that the advertised goods are not available, or the customers are pressured by sales people to consider similar, but higher priced items ("switching").
Second, GW didn't say anything about not getting a new starter, they said they were putting the new Rulebook into the current box...
Third, they didn't release the starter with the rulebook the last few times, possibly back to 3rd, but i can't be bothered to remember that far back
As far as Fantasy goes, most of the armies are status quo : lvl4 caster, big brick of elite warriors, big brick of flanking Monstrous cav, and war machines for taste.
I liked 4th, 5th, and 6th but 7th magic was ridiculous. 8th reined it back a bit but the overall most destructive spells were still OP. I would like to see it brought back in line or just have a rule about the max number of models affected per spell. Xerxes is slowed and losing your caster or bsb to dwellers sucks.
Fantasy has always been the testing grounds for 40k rules so who knows what kind of nonsense they will include this time. But the starting price points cannot be ignored and having to have soo many models for one rule (though a good one) is limiting.
Id like to see each army have some individuality vs just different units filling the same rolls.

Fourth, 40K Radio has been saying (among a gazillion other rumours) that GW is not doing a new push-fit miniatures starter-set. All there other rumours (including breaking news about 7th Edition back in September) have been right so far.
GW is clearly going against their "patterns" with this one anyhow... why not on this one?
Frankly. that is the main problem with all the "poor" rumour-sites. They extrapolate on the basis of past regularities, hoping that doing so is a good estimate of the future. And it worked for many years with GW, but no more.
