Here's what I'd love to see as the ideal subscribe functionality:

1.) No longer auto subscribing to threads you post in,
2.) A toggle in options to turn that back on or off if you want to,
3.) a checkbox when posting (located in the Attach Signature/Notify when replies area of posting) you can tick to subscribe, and
4.) When viewing your subscribed threads, an option to tick checkboxes and "unsubscribe selected" as well as "unsubscribe all".

I think that would be awesome.

In your user profile options page, there is a radio button that turns auto-subscription on/off.

Yes, we already have the option to block autosubscribe. The other features would be used so infrequently that they do not justify the development time required I am afraid.

Awesome, I had no idea you could turn that off. If you're not automatically subscribed to hundreds of thread I don't think the latter options are useful either. Thanks.
