Hi guys I decided to build a warlord class titan as I have always wanted to build one. Ever since I was little and saw the epic models I just knew I would want one in scale for 40k. Here is my W.I.P blog. Question is are these shin guards too big for a warlord?

Woah... That may be a bit big...

Which means you sure as hell better run with it.

Of course, transporting it to a game is going to be the hard part...

Nothing is too big in the world of warhammer, even if its 6 feet tall , more power to you. Everyone will worship you as god.

I made a size comparison for titans, based on the images in the Apocalypse rulebook. You can check it out here. I reckon 24" is good for a warlord, and 36" good for an emperor.

Personally I strongly disagree with the idea that nothing is too big.

I used one of the Shrine of the Aquila as shinguards for my Empie Titan. It Is Emporer scale, Imo.

Should I post link or pic- don't want to appear as boastful at all.

In fact Sir(?) I wish you the best of luck

personally i'd say anywhere between 24 and 45 inches is alright for a warlord. but then again i base this off both the epic models and the artwork. the emperor class i'm building is going to be about 6 foot 5 inches so.... yeah

The Warmonger and Imperator were two different makes of the emperor class. The only major differences I can remember
are the weapon load out and the power generated by there plasma reactors, the Imperator getting 2d6 the Warmonger 1d6+2.

Warmonger

imperator

i would say your shin guards there are a a quiet a bit large for a warlord. almost right for an emperor though maybe a little big still.

looking at dreadnotes chart you would want a shin that was 6-8inches tall and 4-5 inches wide for a warlord.

his chart has pretty much been my go to for all my titan scale needs

Thanks for all the replies! here are some more pics I have of the started legs. I know the feet are going to need to be expanded as they are a little small atm These legs were also done before I even asked about the scale and whatnot.

The reason i said there is no such thing as too big is ,
people are always trying to make warhammer models more realistic , at least the proportions ( and honestly who can disagree its very off )
Hence you know we commonly see the real size marines , the rhino and LR for them etc etc.

There is nothing wrong or bad with building a titan that actually looks in proportion of what it is meant for...

I agree. I just don't think six foot high titans look in proportion to anything.

You could make an Emperor costume using that as a greave.

From the current size of it to ratio of OP + proportion of the titan , it should only reach his waist or belly button. so 4 feet i guess

It would probably be a lot easier to do this than to make the titan itself. And transport would be much simpler. Also, I want to see someone play a game of apocalypse dressed as a Titan, simply because it would be hilarious.

Yeah but they would probably get jolly bored standing in one place as they probably wouldnt be moved, so you would get deadlegs, or would need a chair

Keep up the good work anyway
