I have played one game in 5th edition, and am still trying to figure out exactly how this version of the game works. Additionally, I am completely new to space wolves. I have put together a small list and played it one time. I am looking for advice on how to optimize it and possibilities for expansion past 1,500 points. I don't consider myself a competitive player, but I would enjoy piecing together a cohesive force that I can have fun playing. The only non-negotiable aspect is the 15 Wolf Guard in TDA. I love the look of the models, though no arms are glued so they can change up their gear.

The basic strategy will be to drop the termies and melt their mobility with meltas. I will try to include 5 drop pods, one of them bearing Melta fangs. I am still working out the best way to do this at 1,500 points.

I am assuming that each Wolf Guard Started with 5 models [somthing you should make clear]

2.) Checked out your synergy thread. It's alot to digest, but I've picked up a bit already. Was there anything in specific you felt applied?

No not realy, but I would start with Logan and the Wolf Guard

I may drop the bike lord cause he's crazy expensive. I'm also not sold on the Wolves. I will need to do some play testing to determine whether or not it is worth including lascannon long fangs or wolf guard with cyclolne missile launchers.

You could always just make him a Wolf Priest or Wolf Guard Battle Leader

The Woulf Preist come with a Free Power Weapon and 4++ Save and works well with Blood Claws/Swift Claws.

Wolf Priest + nutcase claws is a good combo amost a definate overkill on anything

The priest crossed my mind, but he's about 135 points. Allowing the nutcases to re-roll there 5 attacks a piece is nothing to turn your nose up to. The wolf lord just seems to have so much potential. With base 4 attacks at initiative 5, several dudes won't even get to be in the fight. I imagine that with warrior born saga, he could wrack up a crazy tally. I wonder what the highest a warrior born tally has become....
