Just wanna get a feel for what you guys might think. This is my first real endeavor into converting/moding, as well as the HQ for my first army.

I started off with a Lucius the Eternal model, and realized I wanted a sorcerer/s-lord for my HQ instead of a lord. And so 2 days ago I started taking green stuff and making a robe for him, and changed the position of the lash [personal favorite weapon as soon as I heard about it], and then I green stuffed some wings together by hand, I don't have any modeling tools to work with, so bear that in mind please. I don't know if I feel like it's completed or not. I keep wanting to think something needs to be done with the head, or to do something more to make it feel more... Sorcerer-y, as well as more Slaaneshy.

Paint scheme is gonna be deep purples, pinks, teal highlights [maybe], and black.

Your thoughts? Criticism welcomed.

I'm sorry but all I can see is a black blob. From what I can see it looks like you need to majorly improve your GS skills, whilst the idea is sound the skills do not appear to have caught up with your vision. Both of the bits you did in GS could easily be replicated with existing parts (DA vet legs and the Possessed wings).

why be sorry, this is the kind of thing I want to hear. And how easily can the legs be replicated? I don't have the tools to chop a metal model apart. I new about the possessed wings, but figured I'd give myself a go at it. Just don't have any tools/ never done it before. Although I will look into the vet legs now.

As I had said before, I'm looking into the Vet legs, and I like the possessed wings that you can get. I just wanted to try something on my own. I might just re-do the whole thing if I don't like the way this turns out. But for the moment, I'm painting him up. It's 2:30 am, and I can't sleep. Although I have ample light, as I'm using my reptile's light and so it's bright as day in my room right now. Will post pictures, better than what I've posted before, when I've got some progress with it.

Until I can get a camera with a micro setting, these are the best photos I can get as of now. Going to try and tinker with the camera a bit more. The head isn't finished. And the wings aren't. But this is the over all idea as to what I'm doing with him/the army.

As poor as these may be, the colors have come out correctly. I've replaced the teal with Silver. I wasn't sure how to utilized Lucius's armor for quite a while. With all the faces, but I've done an okay job, Started with the Liche purple that I covered the model in, then did a layer of chain mail, and a dry brushing of the closest I could get to tentacle pink. It looks a little strange but I like it. The Armor's trim is done in chain mail, with golden rivets/studs. I'm finding the head to be extremely difficult. And it needs a lot of work yet. Are there any tutorials on pale skin or just doing heads in general that I could be directed to? I found one once, but couldn't find it again after I had the right paints for it.

I'll be doing a little more with the wings yet, blending silver and black together, possibly speckeling some silver onto the membranes of the wing. I've taken the suggestion and replaced my hand made wings with wings from a possessed sprue.
