Hey guys! this is my first time here, and I was wondering if I could get some army list/ helpful tips on my painting, and army list building. My theme so far is rather cliche, but I want them to look more dark and mystic, then the "taste the rainbow eldar" I have seen. Tell me what you think.

Epic dude I don't think its cliche at all they are mystic not tuti fruti Im surprised the actual eldar are so colorful. Im a new Eldar player too my color scheme is dark to with a stark White for contrast. I like how yours look tho might snatch your ideas for when i get my Dire Avengers.

Here's an update folks, and thank you so much for the very kind words of advice and encouragement.

First I have a WIP exarch, Iam not quite sure if I like the green gems or not though...





Now I have my guardians weapon battery, this color scheme is a tad different than that of my guardians, so I am thinking about making my whole guardian squad look similar to this.





AAAAND take a look at what I got in the mail! for this color scheme since its for the DA Iam sticking with the purple look.

Yeah actually thats exactly what I thought when I did it. The original effect was to make it look like it was glowing, but it ended up like a monster can. haha

Speaking of keeping going! I have pictures of my WIP wave serpent. I havent finished the gems yet just because I really am not very good at doing gems, and helpful hints would be appreciated!
(I might do more flame detail so its not so 2D)




(for these cracks I want to make it look like light is traveling through the veins, so I am planning on adding a wash to some parts of the crack.)

The serpent is the best model yet, keep it up.

MAN I'm liking this paint scheme. It does have a bit of a Monster-vibe to it as others have said, and I think it fits Eldar absolutely perfectly. It's quite unique compared to most schemes I've seen, so props for that as well. I'm quite interested in seeing how your army develops.

I love your Serpent... no homo. My army is themed dark purple and assorted greens so my DA's may end up matching your serpent. Keep up the badazz work.

Accolade, Thanks I originally wasnt going for a unique look, you see I came into eldar without knowing anything about their color schemes, so I said to myself purples cool. It stuck!

Yeah, this color scheme is new! But I like it allot, might look very good on Dark Eldar to. And yes, the green stripes look like Monster, but Monster is a brutal brand so its okay.

These look like they could pass for Dark Eldar so I suppose you can consider the "dark and mystic" look achieved....

I think the Eldar really show off the color scheme, and I absolutely dig the flames on the wave serpent. Gems on the DA are well done as well.

I absolutely love the purple flames! A great color to a classic design. The transition from black to light purple is so well done as well.

Thanks Az, I messed up about 8 different times though trying to get the gradients of purple to work...

Ok I finished another group of dire avengers but I didnt do a WIP progression because I am planning on just selling them. Also I am working on a chaos juggernaut, I will post pictures soon.

Sorry for the lack of pictures my camera was dying. What do you think of the white though? I was trying to give them some flare (being firedragons) but wanted to stay away from red, and keep my mystic purple.

I like what I can see, is that gradient purple on the helmet? I would love to see better pictures, though. What are you going to be painting next?

Wow. Great work! I think the cape on your Farseer is looking pretty good for a WIP. Can't wait to see it done.

Those Marauders look pretty good too. Their skin's a little bright, but I'm one to speak. My Minotaurs look like they shower twice a day. >_<
