with the advent of the awesomeness that is 8th ed, i played some games with my buddies beastman army and fell in love. i have quite a bit of gors already assembled and painted, (you can find my list in the army list forum), but those are pretty standard so i figured i would start with my ghorgons.

theyre privateer press hordes models, both satyrs from the circle of oroboros or some such. they are plenty beefy standing next to a GW minotaur, but obviously they dont have enough arms. without weapons, they both look like they should be playing blood bowl, so i decided to give them both a ton of axes (cuz thats how beastmen roll, all axe all the time). i used extra minotaur arms and a lot of green stuff to make them 4 armed beasts. the bases are just cork stacked up and carved up a bit with some sand.

hope you enjoy, they certainly bring the noise with their 7 str 6 attacks plus their str 6 thunderstomp

Thats great! I've always loved the Circle models! Are you just going to be using them as normal Minotaurs or as a character of some sort?
It seems like a strange waste to just use them as normal Minotaurs :')

Didn't he say they were Ghorgons? I don't actually know what the difference is, but I'd wager it's the four arms thing. I love Beastmen, and whilst I have never played WHFB, I am building a Chaos Army - maybe I'll expand to a beastie army and roll them all up together

Great work on the conversions - wan't wait to see the paint.

Awesome models I was thinking of trading in my skaven for some beasties.

Ghorgons are big horrible hurty monsters for beastmen, shame they don't have any models for half of the monsters since the gor kits are really cool.

Gorgon is meant to be the equivalent size of a giant iirc. The models are cool however.

wow, i just checked the website and the Oxgore model is 15 cm tall... that is pretty big for a minature...

a friend of mine is using the warhammer giant, covering it in green stuff fur and giving it two extra arms, and is now just struggling to find something for the head.

Nifty idea I considered doing the same but I decided I'd rather have a Cygor and a Jabberslythe instead. Looking forward to seeing more.

He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.
