wanted my kasrkin to have a glowing plasmagun...honestly, the picture makes it look much cooler...what do you think? any advice to make it look better?

The glow is really nice, but that green on his armor is really saturated. I don't know if that's what you're going for, but I like my Guard to have a more subdued green.

the fluff is that my guardsmen have really REALLY green foliage on their homeworld its just darkangels green

I especially like that you didn't over do it, it is very subtle which only enhances the effect in my eyes.

all i did was drybrush Testors acrylic (teal) with my old fine detail brush...brushing immediately away from the coils... the coils are just a cobalt blue color with a highlight of white...

I would maybe want to reflect some of the glowing plasma effect on the right glove. Just were the light from the glow would be striking.

It could be kept subtle but I think it may add a little to the effect

your right, or models right? if models right glove, it wouldnt happen like that, unless plasma weapons for some reason bend light...

Hard to tell from the angle.
I may have miscalculated how much the model's gight hand was sticking out.

It still looks from this angle some light would catch the knuckles.

The glow is a home run. The effect is great.

painting is more patience than skill...my friend got shot in the head with a shotgun and is missing half his brain and lived, AND he paints exceptionally...

Nicely done, really brings the weapon (and thus the fig) to life.

Looks good. Would the helmet catch any of the back-wash off the plasma glow? I don't think it nees it but it just looks a little like the glow instantly stops a short distance away.

i was going to a factual representation, as you get further away the amount of light reduces by the square of the factor (IE: double the distance, quarter the light) and from the models perspective, there is no part of the coil that would shine on the helm. but thanks for the comments
