am using a LATD 'codex' I found online, tempus fugitives, and after playing a battle against my buddy's space marines, I realised how poor flamers, grenade lauchers and autoguns are against
Space marines, so I decided each squad with a plasma gun instead, S7 Ap2 cant be wrong against marines. I only hd one lying around, but I did have lots of spare space wolf plasma pistols
its no exactly a great conversion but what do you guys think?

Yeah, that looks just fine.

They look fine! They might be a bit smaller than the space marine ones, but that just makes them more guard-sized, right?

Perfect for pouring endlessly at a well entrenched force, without regard. I love horde armies.

This looks great, I did something alot like this with Plasma pistols and just the normal Lasgun. This also helped me with my spacing problem. (never considered green stuff for some reason) Thanks!

Yoink. I was just wandering where to get a alternative looking plasma gun for my grenadier vets, and with all the extra greatcoat rifles I have laying around this is a perfect exuse to make em. ^^

I have decided to arm every single one of my squads with a plasma, and a multilaser (the scouting ones at least) but the trouble is I have run out plasma pistols

The conversion is good, but why waste the time working on such poor quality models?

How dare you utter such a thing! They make great rank and file, and in my opinion look much less boring and less like chiuldren in cardboard armour, and more like trench fighting soldiers. The kit comes with loads of extra options, and are easy to convert, they arent a huge amount less detailed than Imperial Guard shock troops and catachans rank and file, if not the same. The faces are very good, and for £35 pounds for 57, its hard to so no, considering you would only get about 22.5 cadians for that, I consider them great, and I am sure you only meant it as a quick comment, but I am insulted at the very thought of you denoucing these lovely models!. Now at 80p for a vanilla squad of eleven chaos LATD marauders, I am going to need a lot, espically if I am on a budget. To be short, I love them! And a quick head swap makes any imperial guard tank commander look the part.

Agreed.

Not everyone seems to have fallen for the GW is the bestest! line I see. Not everyone plays 40k with JUST GW models, either. Sometimes even their overpriced simplistic plastic kits are the suck!

I used the 'Energy rifle' arm with a plasma pistol for a similar effect (also for melta guns).
