Really nice work, like it a lot, clean and efficient. Would like to see more of the army.

I salute your courageousness! My aversion to painting horde armies extends to the reason that 3000 points of Orks sit forgotten and alone in my to-do list!

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

Very nice looking, very nice indeed. I really like the empty shell casings next to the heavy bolter and the slings on the lasguns. Now that I've given you a couple positives, here's the one negative I could find: the clothing and backpacks look a little flat. I see some shading goin on there, but maybe on the next ones hit it with a wash (or another one). Even with that, they still look better than mine do!

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

Looks great, although I would give the yellow uniforms a slight wash, they look a tad flat at the moment

CrashUSAR, Valkyrie - thanks!

I washed them once with standard GW wash (sepia), but it seems that I need 2 washes next time - black then sepia to add more contrast.

the spade reminds me of my time with the 101st airborne... however the 501st regiment wore a diamond and it was the 506th regiment that had the spade... I know different millenium different planet... anyway great job!

They could use a little depth, but that my just be the tan base making it look shallow. Good clean colors. Like the panoramic pictures too. Where did you get your backpacks?

Cool weapon teams, i actually like the colour of the fatigues better than the scheme on the box. There is alot of good examples of subtle conversion work that adds alot of character. With regards to the transfers i would recommend using them as a guide and carefully tracing over them, it's tricky but it stops the transfers looking all glossy. Practise it on a bit of cardboard. I discovered this technique when doing my bretonnians. Oh and nice work on the faces, very well painted.

Using a matte sealer works to take the gloss away too.

I really like the understated nature of the bases. They complement the miniatures perfectly without overwhelming or distracting from them.

Only criticism I can make is there seems to be a prominent mould line on the heavy bolter gunner's arm (2nd pic).

Overall, they're wonderful pieces and I second Filbert's request to see more!

I like everything but the mould lines.

At some point, you might want to consider picking out some of the details, like the metal buckles on the backpacks and the belts.

I like how you made them look dusty.

I love the Paint Job, the I.G heavy weapon teams might be one of the coolest models made, something about them is just badass.

I suggest going over the metallic parts with some Badab Black. And yeah, a little Devlan Mud on the uniforms would probably bring out the details a bit more.

They look nice, but you definitely need to get some washes on them. Badab Black for the metals, Ogryn Flesh for the skin, and Gryphonne Sepia or Devlan Mud for the fatigues. The basing could also use some colors to differentiate it from the models - a darker brown would help.

The backpacks are from the heavy weapons team kit.

Sorry for stupid question, but do you mean "devlan mud"?

Depraved wrote:the spade reminds me of my time with the 101st airborne... however the 501st regiment wore a diamond and it was the 506th regiment that had the spade... I know different millenium different planet... anyway great job!

Thanks a lot!
But, it's just my fault with signes - I tried to google any information about 501st (I just like this number), but found nothing about them. Then I decided (yes, "another millenium" way ) to place the spade - as the sign of mercenaries and good warriors.
BTW, I watch "Band of brothers" now - about birth of "101st airborn". Nice film, like it.

MADLarkin wrote:They could use a little depth, but that my just be the tan base making it look shallow. Good clean colors. Like the panoramic pictures too. Where did you get your backpacks?

I never thought about contrast between the base and the figures. As an old airsofter I know that fatigues must be the same colour as the ground. ))) Backpacks was in the GW kit - as showels, lasguns and other stuff.

Perkustin wrote:With regards to the transfers i would recommend using them as a guide and carefully tracing over them, it's tricky but it stops the transfers looking all glossy.

Transfers was set on the gloss varnish with microscale solution. But you are right, they are still looking glossy so I'll add more matt varnish over them next time ( as MADLarkin said).

Necroagogo, Ailaros - I really tried to remove all mould lines! But, one was missed.

Brother SRM,eledamris - thanks for washing tips. I washed these miniatures only once, but now I see that they need more contrast.

cody20 wrote:the I.G heavy weapon teams might be one of the coolest models made, something about them is just badass.

That what I thought when working on them. ))) "Kill'em'all!"

rubirub, susejo239 - thanks!
