Hey Dakkaites!
About a week ago I had one of those creative surges and wanted to build an ork power generator, similar to the "Bigga Generator" in Dawn of War, but more like a real one, so here it is...
I built it off a base of some spare worksuface my Dad gave me after we revamped the kitchen, and then built a balsa and dowel construction on it, using the Battlewagon turret as the control room.

Here you can see the periscope, I thought it could be used in kill team type games, where sentries are needed.

A lone grenadier assaults the grot engineers.

The battle escalates into a Tallarn Imperial Guard raid on the ork defenders! For The Emperor!!!!

Looks good.

Needs some big bolts to hold all the woodwork together. Pin heads should be the right size.

Looks really good but why not put a few glyphs on the wood for added detail. Or maybe a little 'danger' or 'keep out' sign.

Replace the guy with a grot!

A small and simple piece, but with a decent bit of character. I agree that a few glyphs and bolts for the woodwork would be a nice addition, but I wouldn't call it lacking if left as-is.

Looks great!

Though I can't help thinking it's not a power generator, it's a defensive turret with a big-ass hammer to smash approaching enemies!

Very nice! I The detail is great for something you scratch built. I could definately picture Orks out in the desert pumping/drilling for oil!
