Hi guys welcome to my new little 40k project. I got this idea about year ago after playing darksiders. Anyway after alot of thought about how to make this effective I decided to split this up into 2 smaller projects Angel/demon, Angel all be using GK/BA/BT I chose them mainly because there iconography works very well and will by using various models/bits (apologize for any confusion). All be working of demons after I finish.

Awesome i spoke to someone about doing this awhile ago but I am glad you have actually started making them. Which characters are you going to make?

For angels Abbadon, Uriel and haven't decided about Azreal yet. Demons gunna do samael, Lilith and I wanna convert a nurgle DP too look like the jailer cause he just looks so badass and nurgle like

Nurgle Jailer would definitely work. When I was talking to the other guy we were on about using trygons for the stygian and gaunts for the little demons.

I really want to make a Samael for my Chaos guys maybe using Belakor and a daemon prince kit with inverted wings. Vulgrim would be cool as well if you could make him some how.

Only thing I have planned for the characters instead of using SG jump packs gunna model them with angel wings from reaper minis, wanting on GK release so I can kit bash out of Plastic GK. Some almost finished pictures or my Hell Guard SR. Did have idea of modeling wriaths to be used as daemonettes.

Nice Storm Raven man! Yeah I want to wait for plastic grey knights too and then mix in some Sanguinary guard bits. I'm not sure of the special weapons for the GK's but I bet there will be some suitable ones for Hell Guard, like the guys who have the large cannons that War can pick up, don't know what they are called. Any ideas on bases for Uriel and Abaddon? There are some pretty cool figures in the Witchhunters stuff like Celestine the Living Saint or there might be a new model of Corteaz to go with the GK's.

Thanks! Pyscannons would good Redemption cannons, only bits I know I will using from SG are JP/weapons and some shoulders I will mix and match between BA/DA/GK/BT. Debating on whether or not too you use sculpted armor/nipple torsos tho, Maybe for sgts/justicars but haven't decided yet. As for ideas about Uriel and abaddon I wanna stay away from using 40k SC as basing just to keep them unique I might use them as a count as rules wise I wanna customize them bitz wise. Yea Celestine the Living Saint is a sweet looking model my wife has one for her Sisters army

Finished up the SR last weekend and have my 2nd SR alrdy put together and ready to be primed if only the weather would cooperate.... Hears more pictures enjoy!

The only problem i see in this project is that the demon foot troop/enemy designs were incredibly uninspired, infact, from the demons only Vulgrim, Tiamat and Samael had any real character. I think you made the right choice focusing on the angels as they were quite original and more memorable. EDIT: two things first 'Ruin' is visally a one to one ripoff of Dorgharr (Archaons horse) Hint hint. Second the bit where you had the cannon (Redeemer?) in the desert was the best bit in the game.

Yea thats why I wasn't in a hurry to start up demon army, wanted to get my creative juices flowing with angels first. Thanks for the hint about ruin will definatily use Archaons horse for when I do a model for war. I know there were 2 verisons of that weapon for angel/demon think you are thinking of the devastator from the ash wastes when War was trying to free ruin. Suprisingly angel one was called stormbolter idk I have the art of darksiders book and it gives me a couple of different names for each weapon.

I ordered 2 DA veterans boxes from Amazon. I also pre-ordered GK codex and 4 boxes of PA Gk, there was a mix up with my order and only received 1 of the 4 boxes hoping they come in this week .

Both stormravens and painted and varnished and out of the kits I have atm I kit bashed about 18 models all magnetized for for weapon swaps/backpacks .

Also ordered 20 ruined temple bases from secret weapon all flashed and prime nine finished atm.

The gold seems a little uneven in places, but I'm sure it's just a trick of light - although I do think that Space Marine models, with all those flat surfaces would love Bare Metal Foil. There's always Alclad when realistic metal finish is needed, but I've heard it is pretty hard to paint on properly. A little soot on the exhaust wouldn't look out of place as well, but other than that, good job so far.

I only played the first level to check if I liked it, then put it away for one boring Sunday,... I should dig it up and start playing.

I like the Storm Raven (the first SR I like I must admit)

Thanks! I wasn't too sure about the SR too until I got it, I didn't want to use too many metallics on it the grays broke it up well enough. Definitely have to give it another try the story was good and am looking forward too the second one.
