Hello there,

I'm starting all anew with the fameus Orks! My first thing I'll start with is the Ork warboss. (This is the model from the 'assault on black reach' box, I don't actually have the box, only wanted to start with the warboss )

The model has been assembled and is now up for conversion. I'm going to add : Additional armor (inlcuding a gob) and an attack squig.

The squig will be made out of greenstuff, as I wan't a truly unique squig .

This shortly represent my first step in having a WHAAGH!

I will shortly start building up, adding ork boyz and trucks at first. my first goal is to reach this 500p list=

-Hq = Ork warboss 60p + Powerclaw 25p+ 'Eavy armor' 5p+ Attack Squig 15p+ twin linked shoota 5p.
total : 110p

-troop = 10 Ork boyz 60p (dedicated transport : Trukk 35p with 'red paint job5p')
total : 210p

-troop = 10 Ork boyz 60p+ stikkbomb upgrade 10p+ 1 Nob upgrade 10p with power klaw 25p (dedicated transport : Trukk 35p with 'red paint job5p')
total : 355p

-troop = 10 Ork boyz 60p+ stikkbomb upgrade 10p+ 1 Nob upgrade 10p with power klaw 25p (dedicated transport : Trukk 35p with 'red paint job5p')
total : 500p

(If someone would like to comment or seriuosly wan't to point me on something useless then shout it out )

Already Got some WIP pictures for now as these ideas already flew through my head a long time, they worked out nicely

I am going to add detail, so don't worry about missing pins and other stuff just yet

Gob and armour looks good. Make sure you remove the mould lines. Drilling the gun barrels out is also easy and looks a lot better. Looking forward to the attack squig

31 Orks in 3 Trukks including Warboss in 500 points is pretty gutsy - especially without boss-poles. My own 500pt Trukk list drops a Trukk and boyz to fill out the other two and add a Deffkopta... but in your case I'd drop the Stikkbombz and put boss-poles in. Maybe drop the twin-linked shoota and either the attack squig or red paint jobs for 4 more boyz...

Gob looks nice alright, but I'm not 100% sold on the basic pose. I'd either raise the shoota or have him look in the direction he's pointing. And drill out the barrles, of course

very nice gob =P, wy don't you trie a bionic leg or something, that would make it much more different than other AORB warbosses, just a quick suggestion =D

Thx going to take that in notice , I knew something must have been wrong in that list

@skotter: I'm tinkering on solutions of what I could do with him maybe a bionic leg could be just that

@khaine: Orks never look at were they are pointing! unless they are flash gitz xD and even they sometimes wander off xD But my excuse here is, I already glued the arm :/... Yet I have removed most of the 'helpful' tops , because they got in my way xD rather then help me :p.

WAAAAAAAAGHH ! ! ! !

So here's a quick update, The Ork Boss now has additional armor on his other leg and his hand holding the gun. The Legplate will receive some tiny spikes which i'll add tommorow once the green stuff has hardened. The Hand plate will receive some tiny spikes as well.

You're free to comment (also his Gob received some detail, as did the shoulderplates.)

And some more updates So now there are spikes on the extra hand and legplate, and i've added some cybork bitz aside the leg and on his but

very nice use whit those cybork bits ;D

After a while, I can proudly present my Squig! he isn't completally finished but he will get his final touches soon. My warboss received some extra plating here and there as well as some energy batteries and an additional cabel to his klaw.

So any comments? also My squig doesn't have teeth in his upper jaw :s something i'm having problems with, any advice?

That is the cheeriest looking Squig I've ever seen!

He should be cheery ^^ because he's a squig! xD who loves 'fightin' (he like gives me an extra str 10 power klaw attack in CC, why wouldn't he be xD)

I wanted my war(lord)boss, to have his own profile. Iv'e written some rules down and want to know if they are reasonable. So release ur comments let hear your voice

Also i'm done with the creation stage and he now stands in my painting area slowly receiving his colours very soon 'ill post some pics of the progress.

WS 6(7,8) BS 2 S 5 T 5 W 4 I 5 A 6(7) Ld 10 Sv 4+ (5+ inv 'cybork body')
Wargear: Costumised power klaw, Eavy armor, Cybork body, Attack squig, Boss pole Twin-Linked Costumized shoota.
Special Rules :
--Ork: Rutga benefit's from the: 'Mob' Rule, 'Waagh' rule and the 'furious charge' rule (see codex for more details)
--Rutga's costumized weaponry :
-Power Klaw: Rutga still benefits from the +1 attack from wielding 2 close combat weapons, the claw is lighter and prevents the initiative drop (so he fights with a power klaw on I 5), Also the power klaw disallows invurnable saves against wounds wich are caused by a 6 roll.
-Twin-Linked Shoota: Rutga's shoota is far more sturdy and made of stronger materials, his shoota can be used as a close combat weapon and has the following profile:
-Range 24" S 5 AP 4 Assault 2
--Eternal warrior (special rule): see the Warhammer 40K rulebook
--On the edge, RAGE!: Rutga receives a massive rage if nearly dead, this frightens even orks which have never seen it before. Most commanders believe that this is a blessing from Gork and Mork, right from their warp realm.
When Rutga has only 1 wound left, he receives a constant fleet of foot rule, and +1 Weapon skill (this is cummulative with furious charge so his maximum WS can go to 8)

That squig is amazing!

But I think the warboss is a bit overpriced?
