This is the "horses" part. Chariot itself is still to come.

It is the IOB griffon. I think that model looks fantastic.

Is it a ghost? The cat/leopard part looks almost ethereal. Can you put up some better pictures of that.

It is supposed to be a ghost. I have a couple other pics that show the cat part better:

Yeah, those flames are awesome! You should put together a tutorial on how you made them (if you haven't already).

I'll try to get something together. In the mean time, it was a case of putting layers of greenstuff on the wings, then using a sculpting tool to stretch it back. I also propped it up at weird angles so that they would dry without just folding over the wings (there are a few that still tend to flop).

To paint it i undercoated it white, then did layers of colour. I actually didn't like how it had turned out until I put a layer of yellow ink over top (which made the reds at the tips more orange).

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

It is certainly interesting

The spots on the cat are very well done.

I've mostly finished up the chariot and settra (the character who is going on the chariot). Base isn't finished yet, so it's getting propped up for now.

I thought I'd add a couple more pics of the rest of the army:

Pictured are warriors (they'll be tomb guard until new -- and hopefully better -- plastics come out), and archers made from the TK set, and from the VC sets.

Really awesome!

One thing, i'd add snow to the top of the pillar though, would make it more part of the base

But really awesome!

Snow? In the desert?

It's a very, very cool model and captures the ethereal nature of the Tomb Kings. Should there be something connecting the chariot to the Flying Fiery Feline of Fear, perhaps?

I really like it. My only issue with it is the colour of the flames. If you would have made them green I think it would have fit the rest of the model better. Of course I just watched Big Trouble in Little China, so I am all about me some Green Fire.

Even Tomb Kings need holidays!

The rest of the bases look like snow, but could just be my screen?

Anyway, put some flock that was used on the bases onto of the pillar cause at the mo it looks like the pillar doesn't belong to the base imo.

The "snow" is actually very fine aquarium sand -- i've used it on all my TK models and I think it makes them look like they're actually out in the desert, not just in really dry dirt. (Plus it was fast and easy when I was first putting the army together ).

I think i will try to build it up more around the base of the column, but I'm not sure about the top of the column -- I think I want it to look windswept.

Alright -- I finished it up in time for Colonial here in the states. If I read the final results right, I came 4th for painting scores.

It looks cool, but I agree with Miraclefish: there should be something connecting the chariot to the giant burning bird.
Also, I like your movement trays.

Am i the only one that thinks the whole thing looks like a car chase scene , where the Tomb King cast conflagration on the High Elf Prince ( i know the TK shield and such )
but looks like it was an elf burnt down to skeleton and his mount on fire xD

Ha -- Maybe I should have done it as one of those story dioramas. As for the connection, I'll see if I can make something with magnets, etc -- I don't want to permanently connect the griffon to the chariot as it's too delicate on its flying base.
