I was digging through some old WDs and I saw a battle report. This was back when they had armies that weren't just 'Eavy Metal studio armies, so there were actually cool conversions and the like scattered about. Anyway, at the center of this guy's army was a Chimera for his command squad. Instead of a standard Chimera, he converted up a command car. I was inspired by it, and I dug up the rules for a Salamander from Imperial Armour and I'll either be using this as one of those or as a Chimera for my command squad. Anyway, here's the pics:







I realized I missed the lens on top of the heavy bolter, but not until I'd already uploaded the pictures here! I'm also aware that the sides don't have much detail. I need a leather hole punch so I can make me some rivets! Here's the original thread I made for this vehicle, when it was WIP:

Quite nice, I thought of the humber too. The Ork tires also work surprisingly well.
