After Kakita's landslide victory in the March edition, I decided it was time to get the April edition up.

I've decided that I want to see more entries this month, so it's gonna be nice and open.

Entries need to be PM'd to me by April 27th, 11pm (EST).

I'll post times for different time zones too:
Uk users -> 28th, 3am
PST users -> 27th, 8pm
German users -> 28th, 5am
Japanese users -> 28th, 12 noon.

Remember that no new miniatures are required for this, as long as the mini fits the theme it's viable for entry.

So, with further ado, the theme of the April 2011 MotM competition is....

ELITES. Let me see your elites choices. If it's in the "elite" section of your Codex, you're good to enter. Any WHFB gamers can use troops from the "special" section of their army book. Any non-GW games can use any mini as long as it is rare or elite within the faction. Dedicated transports are ok too, as long as an elites choice can take it.

Single miniatures only, no squad entries.

Good luck people!

A suggestion maybe for fantasy make rare regiments of more than one complete rank (3 monsters 5 20/25mm infantry) an option aswell. (If it still exists pretty rusty on Fantasy lol) As we would be missing out on possible Grail knights, Regiments of renown and dragon princes to name but a few.

Mite have to get the incubi underway for this. Can we include the HQ if he is usually deployed with the squad?

I've recently made a 'vow' to complete an ELITE unit for another forum... would that unit still be viable here?

And all pics, including WIP, get PM'd to you?

Hmmm, methinks it's time to pull out the brushes and paints again and start working on some Harley Quinns.

This might be fun to enter, but first I need to ask something: Where can we see who has won the earlier MotM's?

Alright, this time I'm gonna enter something. Unless you're only accepting GW models, of course.

I think it would be helpful if someone posted what the eqivalents of 'elites' would be for warmahordes etc. Instead of moaning that they cant enter.

@Space potato any chance you could look over my questions?

As far as fantasy in concerned, I'm sticking with Special choices.

As far as other games go, entries can be anything as long as they are considered rare or elite within that faction.

No squads I'm afraid, single miniatures only.

I'll put this in the OP

Sorry about a delayed response, I've had a busy day D:

Don't do it!

They will drive you mad!

Quick question on the guidelines.

Single model - no squads entries - is this applicable for WFB, or should it be as has been said before with 1 rank. Just wondering if a solo specail from WFB might look odd on his own.

Either way I'm in.

EDIT:

Is there a list anywhere online for warmahordes? I know nothing about it except the minis look great. What would count as an elite/rare? Google turned up nothing much really, just a load of online retailers.

I'm already Mad, why else do you think i run Eldar, Ork, and Tyranid, and dream of having a Chaos Undivided Traitor Sisters army?

Speaking of Traitor Sisters, does anyone know if Seraphim Sisters are Elite choice, or are they a Fast Attack choice, cause i might do a traitor Sister for this comp instead.

EDIT: nrm, i found a copy on GW's site of the witchhunters codex which lists Seraphim as a fast attack choice.

Umm, I'm gonna say singles only this time round. I might make next month a squad/rank thing.

We can have single units from an Elite squad though yeah? say for example a sergeant from a terminator squad or a standard bearer of some kind from an elite squad?

As long as the Standard Bearer isn't part of an HQ choice, then I believe it is eligible.

Correct. As long as it comes under the "Elites" or "Special" sections of your army (or is a rarer unit if your game of choice doesn't use these slots), it is eligible.

It has to be an elites choice, I'm afraid. Your psyker would have fitted great in last month's contest.

You might be able to enter him in next months, keep your eye's peeled.
