hello there i thought i'd post this up since i'm hanging about at an ungodly hour for no reason.

This is bits and bobs for my revival into GW games. All new spanking Death Guard, Which seem quite popular actually so maybe not as thrilling to everyone.

Frist up Plague Marines - personally i dont like the metals - these are 'de' spiked chaos space marines, fair few conversions on the champion if you can spot them.





Terminators - well i like them big and these are pretty tall. SMs only come up to their elbows! Sunk a ton of cash into these so i'm saving money elsewhere!

Overview!

Looking good. Liking the marines, colours are great. Not to keen on the daemons to be honest. That's just my personal preference, there's nothing actually wrong with them! What are you using to make the Rhino?

hey, thanks. the Rhino is Biresin then pinned/glued that and plasticard.. basically i've cast the parts in moulds. The daemons seem to be hit or miss lol. Oh well i think they'll look better once they're nurgled up but hey might go back to the drawing board on them.

I like the lesser deamons. Not BA (not blood angels, but the awesome swear word), but funny looking deamons and they are different and I like that.

Love the marine units though and the rhino is the best scratch vehicle I've seen.

I like the daemons, however they look a little corpulent and lazy...a tad unable to do anything...
The marines look great, i would liek some close-ups of them and the termies though please, to really see them properly!

Paint the one closest to the SM purple so it will look like that guy from maccas!

lol them damn daemons. Well love em or hate em they are getting cast tonight. i might try to add a few more front legs as now you guy have mentioned all that they remind me of Durt from trapdoor. If anyone remembers that!

I'll post some bigger pics when i get stuck in again.

Add one to the love pile for those daemons. I don't own the chaos codex but I've been told they are now generic "lesser daemons" rather than the specific ones. Different ones like this would really stand out on the table top.

And as for those terminators ...... <insert whistle here>

Dear sweet Nurgle. Did you actually buy 5 Typhi? (Yes, that is the plural of Typhus, as far as I'm concerned.) You are insane, but those terminators are going to look awesome.

With the great casts that you did for weapons etc., why on earth did you buy all those Typhus models? They do look great though.

Also loving the de-spiked aesthetic for the DG, and the mono-eye head on the champion is great. Really can't wait to see what happens with that Rhino...

Yeah i didn't really think about the 'Typhi' () I might have been able to cast some of his bits but it would have had to been a really complex moulds and i would really need a vacuum chamber for that sort of thing. Only reason i started cast pieces was the insane lack of choice in the terminator box... I was really annoyed at the state of it so i cobbled some lighting claws up out of shaved chainswords from the marine box (the sabre looking one). But yeah... my bankcard is still smoking over this buy hence DIY tank mode

OK, Finally got some time to pick up a brush and finish something

Here's the finished daemons - Went for a fairly basic nurglish theme. I didn't want these to be the main eye candy unit (that will be the Prince and the termies) so they are quite neutral to compliment the grey/white of the marines.

Cheers guys, I think i'll take a break from full on moulding this week so i'll most likely start my Obliterators They are going to be a cross between Defilers and techmarines (the obs models are hideousness!)

The fluff goes - they Death Guard are hunting lost tech for the obliterators in return for their support in future, So there's sort of 3 army components, The elite envoy/escort Daemon Prince and marines. The Obliterators and their defilers (dark mechanicus) and the Daemon reinforcements (this will expand i've upped the list too 2000 and will be including a greater daemon i think/hope this will give me an uber coutner charge unit of 2 defilers 1 DP and a GD - le see our termies win that!)

oddly yea, sort off let this slide a bit, as other things pop up but yeah getting back into the saddle as it were.

Heres the termie champ. His squad is done too but the picks were dodgy so i'll retake them and they will join him tomorrow.
Yeah hes red get over it the army was becoming a sea of off grey, so all chosen will have red body plates to tart the place up a bit.

The OSL looks quite good! But I thought the whole squad would be in red...

Thx was my first attempt at source lighting - i really liked majorToms stuff from the gallery so thought i'd give it a go. i agree about it making them all red didnt think far enough into it
