First Post on Dakka Dakka, .

I used to make Orky terrain and sell it to my friends. After College I moved away and haven't seen them in years. So after about four years of being out of the hobby, I've started making terrain again.
Here's my first creation since I started again. It's still a WIP but I think it's close, mostly needing a varnish and some slight touch-up.
C&C Welcome! (also since I don't play WH at the moment and am wanting to create terrain to sell any thoughts on whether or not it's "sell worthy" or what I should do. Thinking about listing my work on eBay)

I like it - lots of detail! It does look a bit glossy in the picture though - perhaps a bit of dull cote?

Indeed, It is a wee bit glossy! Thanks, I'll look into it for sure!

I like the ramshackle construction, but the painting is too colorful and glossy, it makes the red walls look like raw meat.

Keep the construction style and make the building more complicated, like side structures, etc. Keep at it!

The quality of your work is great, but personally I don't think picture an Ork structure being so uniform is in overall shape. Maybe some side structures like Terraformer mentioned, and just less right angle looking.

Great start - You might think about adding some rust to those steel parts

Great work there, the red does look a little odd to me but overall I Love it! Especially the wood patched wall, I could just imagine some ork have gone busting threw it at some point.--> All kool aid style OH YEAH!

Have to agree with the general consensus, that is a sweet looking hut although i would personally have used more "earthy" tones. browns, greys and blacks.

The dice WILL roll ones on the critical rolls.

Universal rule 2:
If no one is rolled on the critical rolls, the dice are storing them for an even more critical roll.

Universal Rule 3:
NEVER Feel safe. The ones are watching and waiting. Always.

Aye, thanks for all the Comments and Criticism. Grabbed a can of dullcote and am finishing up some nice additions to my hut (including one "booming good" addition on the roof).

A 2nd project is started alongside this first one, when I have something to show, it'll be up here.

Alright folks, I'm back and finally got around to updating my work and posting pics, 99% done now.
Really took all the good C&C to heart and made some changes for the better me thinks.
Lots of new little details, more rust and less glossy/bright.
Gonna hit it with some dullcote and a bit of touch up.
Likely throw it up on ebay or something like that but first, let me hear what you guys think:

niiice. Like the little details like the discarded choppaz and the hammer table. Also, that bit of, I think it's corrugated plastic? holding the rokkit/missile up is pretty neat- looks like a chunk of a double-hulled barge or something.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

If yer an Ork, why dont ya WAAAGH!!

Aye it is corrugated plastic for the rokkit holda, good eye. Thanks for the feedback!

Looks lovely! However, the... uhm, "shiny" makes the building a 4/5, instead of a 5/5!

Edit; Oh, you fixed the shiny! Very well then, a 5/5!
