Started a new Grey Knights army last week, began with some pallies and this is the first complete model. All models are magnetised so for example this HW bloke can change to others, as can all the others (sword/halebred) etc. Also thrown one pic in the end of the Justicar who's nearing completion (pretty happy with his face.)

For all my brassy/gold stuff I would do a coat of black in with brassy brass (brass o.O), then some chestnut ink, then highlight with shining gold and small touch of burnished gold bit of a process but I'm a sucker for punishment?

Red on Grey looks pretty neat. Only thing I might do is drill holes in the incinerator but thats just an extra detail

Oooh, do you mean in the front of the 'muzzle' so to speak? good idea.... will do that

really good finally some dares it to get away of the sterotype blue swords and manage to make them good

Awesome looking minis! The gold might take a while, but it's worth it.

Thanks It's great to get such positive feedback on the first model! @Grimwulfe the way it was done was blazing orange as a base, I then did the golden yellow streaks, then I could go back in with blood red but not all the way up to the yellow, finally a small amount of scab red/red gore. Only learnt this method recently - had never thought about the middle tone being used as the backdrop to allow more exact detail for the yellow.

Just finished second model and figured i'd throw him up to show the two-hand Halberd. rather happy and i think once the squad's done the unity will work well

The sword looks badass, GreyKnights are definitely fun to paint too

For sure, I mainly paint for painting sake - havent played a game in about 6 years -.- but desperately want too now. But yeah, have been doing orks but find they don't vary in detail enough.. grey knights seem to keep me rather entertained

Defiantly doing that - just gotta get up to the shop (my jewellery studio isnt at my home) to use the drill to do so
